I have come to the realization that I have enough guns. I'm defining "enough" as in I I'm not actively shopping/desiring anymore. I have several shotguns, 12g, .410, break open and pump, rifles in .17HMR, several .22s, two ARs, 30-30WCF, 5.7x28mm, .308, 30-06 in Garand and bolt, 30 Carbine, 8x57, 300 Win Mag, and handguns in 22, .38/.357, .40, .357Sig, 9mm, .380, 10mm, .44Spec/.44Mag, 45LC, 45ACP, .454 Casull. More than I'll need to enjoy a lifetime of shooting. Sure, I'd love to have a Colt(s), 50BMG, etc...but I think I'm done.
I reload for all calibers listed, minus rimfire and the PS90, and I have a solid amount of brass for each, and I've begun casting. Sure, I'd like a few hundred pounds of lead more than I have, but I'm content. It's a release. I've built my collection with my father over the years, we've shot these guns, laughed with and at each other over them and the shortcomings of our shooting abilities, slide thumb injuries, forgetting to take off the safety, reaction to recoil on the first shot of a new thumper, etc. I'm content. Enjoy what you have, folks.

I stopped actively seeking new guns several years ago, but they keep finding me at a rate even faster than when I was looking. My problem is the ever increasing need for storage and range time. It is a lot less fun to buy something and put it up than to atake it out and learn its intricacies and function.

YEs i do have what i need. The problem i dont shoot much . I have to really make it point this Sept to become member of a local gun club rifle range that s 23 miles away. This time ill get a family membership so i can bring my kids and wife to introduce them shooting.

Having all the guns without able to shoot it is moot. SPending so much money on things but not on membership is no brainer.

Well, yeah ... I also have enough ... but somehow, they keep coming home with me, too. It's fun sometimes, finding a gun in the safe that I haven't shot for years, taking it to the range and becoming reacquainted.

I am not actively seeking another gun at this time either. Something may catch my interest, but I am pretty satisfied with what I have.

I am at the point in my life where, like some of you, I have enough. Now it's time to take what I have and ready learn the nuances of each rifle / pistol and caliber.

I reload, I cast, I shoot. What more can one want?!

I have the same problem, too many to keep track of without an Excel spreadsheet. Last year I swore I was dome buying. That lasted until new years eve when I bought three that were just to good to pass up. That was IT! At least until yesterday….. Oh well.

I also have "enough" for each basic use for a firearm (excluding a centerfire hunting rifle, as I don't hunt.)

But, as was mentioned in post two, many have joined me since I had declared I was stocked up.

I am in the same boat. I have attended many training courses, owned and used a wide variety handguns and rifles and so forth. Ammo prices and shortages have taken the fun out of weekly sessions.

It is time for another sport. I have no swords. I joined a local fencing academy and will train in historical longsword through HEMA. I will continue my firearms training and aquisition, but the tempo will slow.

Now it's time to take what I have and ready learn the nuances of each rifle / pistol and caliber.

I think I'm securely embedded in this mindset as well. I just wish I could LEARN faster and better ! :D

I spent the better part of this Saturday, running between LGS, looking to see if there was anything of interest. Saw some interesting guns, but nothing calling my name.

I reload, so working up loads other than the "good 'nuff stuff" might be the next frontier for me.

I've long had a list of guns I'd like to get, and just recently (the last year or so) gotten myself into a position to start whittling away at that list.

Once I've gone through my list (probably be a couple-three years yet), then I suppose it'll be "the odd gun" that pops up here and there that strikes my fancy...but I probably won't be looking actively for anything at that point.

I have way more than enough of everything, but still drag something new home every now and then.

I'm with ColtPythonElite ^^^^^

Seems like the newest one's gonna be a derringer.
I found a dealer that's offering coupons - pay $50 & get a $100 coupon.
They have a cute little derringer I've been lookin' at

I will confess, I have more guns that I need too and not looking for anymore. BUT if I happen to sell one i will replace it. A few years ago I started selling guns that I really did not like. In the past couple of months I was looking for a pocket carry 9 and tried a couple Kel Tecs and sold them. Nothing about Kel Tec but just did not like the gun. If the urge for a pocket 9 continues I might end up with one.

With the above said, the only guns that might come home with me now is ones that I can get at GREAT deal.

I personally feel that a gun in the safe is better than money in the safe.

My Grail gun has always been a S&W 4006, once I got that I lost interest in aquiring any more mostly because I'd never carry them.

The only gun that would even be on my radar would be a S&W Model 915 because that was the first handgun I ever owned but even that would have to show up at just the right time .

Right now, I'm concentrating more on ammo than guns.

However, there is one gun I am actively seeking - a Marlin 1894C in .38 Sp./.357 Magnum.

I have 3 guns that take .22LR, 2 that take .22 Mag, a .25, .380, a .243, an AK, and .357 Mag.

I have a .32 but its barrel is too worn for accuracy, and a .32-20 revolver that is too hard to find its ammo.

I don't want to expand my ammo needs with more calibers! ;)

Currently 3 rifle, 2 shotgun and 2 handgun. Gave the rest to the kids. Now I am looking toward setting up hopeful future grandkids. With firearms and family, I am an enabler.

I look forward to the point where I have enough. I have a few pistols and am in the process of building my first ar. Still want to get a 1911, 357, and a 22 revolver. Maybe an ak too. I've got a ways to go, but lord willing I have some time still. Hope to finish the ar this spring and get either the 1911 or 357 by the end of the year.
