M2 Carbine: Now that`s a picture!
That's my best Sergeant Schultz impersonation.
That is a sweet shooting MP40. Belongs to a mechanic friend. As I recall he had been shooting it and brought it to work to give it a good cleaning. He also had his reloading press set up in the hanger. I had my Dillon press set up in the company apartment I stayed in. I usually reloaded about a couple thousand rounds of pistol ammo while I was at work.
Wouldn't that just freak out some companies.
This is a good story.
For years I flew for a big oil company in Houston.
Every time I landed at the company building I'd stop by the offices of the people I knew well and say Hi.
One day I went by the office of a big tough gruff oil man who many were afraid of but who I got along good with when he worked offshore.
As I went by his office there was a meeting going on, so I just waved. The man yelled, "Hey come here I've got something to show you."
As I walked in he reached in his desk and threw a Colt 25 on the desk and said, "What do you think of that".
The office got very quiet.
I looked the nice little Colt over and said, "I'll give you $100".
He said something nasty.
I said, "What the heck you want with this little gun?"
He said, "Well the other night I had to stick it in a guy's ear to calm him down".
I went on my way laughing to myself at the looks on the faces of those people in the office.
Not only does the executive stop a meeting to BS with a pilot but the talk is about show and tell with a loaded gun.
