If you were a classy Hollywood mobster, what would you carry?

If you have not seen "The Last Man Standing" you need to. You need to very badly. Real men carry a pair of 1911's
My favorite is how everyone Bruce Willis shoots in that film goes flying across the room. :uhoh: It must be because he is dual wielding two 1911's. :D

What Bonnie and Clyde had, plus a few more rounds of ammunition :).

The only fully automatic firearm I have ever really really had the desire to own is a BAR.

Just my .02,
LeonCarr

For serious work? A Tommy Gun, 1930s gangster style. I always wanted one. :scrutiny:

For undercover work, a S&W Model 38, like this ....

M38-c.jpg

A blue 1911 Commaander with Ivory grips . A Italian 6"blade stag grip switch blade For when you need to shut up a blabber mouth
4 Body guards have the full auto guns .

The self respecting mobster would carry a Colt model 1911
in Super .38 Caliber. Why Super .38? Because it's Super that's
why.

Zeke

I am an old school, die hard, revolver fan so it would probably be one of these 45 ACPs.

But, this 1911 is certainly a good choice also.

Nope! It does not have to be period correct. I'm talking old school, modern day, Mafia, Russian mob, Irish mob, what ever. All that's required is class

Well then it's going to depend a lot on just what roll Hollywierd wants me to play.
I was thinking old school in my first post, but if were talking modern I'd pack my STI VIP
IMG-20110406-00112.jpg

Russian mobster's gotta pack a Mak or Tok need to sexy it up with some grips though.

I guess an Irish guy could fulfill your BHP wish lol

Choosing from my personal inventory:

A mobster needs something that will build their reputation and earn them a nickname, you can call me Jimmy the CROWBAR! It's a custom .45ACP S&W M28 Highway Patrolman, naturally the irony is that the gun was originally built for and named after the cops.

For something a bit more upscale, perhaps a classy gangster might be known for wearing a top hat. It's a Colt .38 Super, of course.

Or a classy gangster might want to be known for being slick and flashy, a smooth customer. In that case, this polished blue Colt/Clark Meltdown .45 might be in order.

That's an S&W Model 649 that someone modified with a Model 60 3 inch barrel and unfluted cylinder.
Wow! Love that! Very, very nice.

Vintage 30's era gangster? I'd get a 1911, to share bullets with my Tommy gun. Maybe a Norwegian Kongsberg, just for a little exotic flair.

Modern/nowaday gangster- like maybe a Russian mobster? I figure it would either be a NICE Russian Tokarev, or more likely, an early blued CZ 75 with the short slide rails.

What's that little 32ACP machine pistol called?
Any modern day gangster would carry one of them. 61 Skorpion under that fine silk suit from Hong Kong.

One of these

An automatic 38 super custom made

Well, for me, it would be a Korth revolver with a royal blue frame, a stainless cylinder, mirror polished stainless hammer and trigger, 5 inch barrel, and dark wood grips. It would sit in a tobacco brown tooled leather holster with 2 speedloaders next to it.

Sorry, but that looks like a sucked lollipop....
Meltdowns aren't for everyone but don't knock 'em till you try 'em. They carry like no other 1911.
And, I can see a gangster forcing some rival to suck on it like a lollipop before he cashes in his chips.

Either a S&W 1917 with the barrel cut to 3" in 45 acp or Luger in a shoulder holster. Though Mike Hammer's 1911" Betsy" not a bad choice either
