If you were a classy Hollywood mobster, what would you carry?

For the shoulder holster I would pick a Mauser 712 for personal carry. Maybe a Colt woodsman with a silencer for those special jobs the boss wants done. And of course the Thompson would be kept in the trunk for when life take a down turn and things look dark.

The only possible thing I could say against that Clark modified Colt, is the same thing I'd say about the Model 649 I posted: the finish is too gorgeous to carry.

Can't believe no one has listed a gold plated Desert Eagle with pearl grips in 44 mag! After all, it's Hollywood.

I'd go for a 1911 with a nice blued finish like Turnbull's Nitre Blue and some nice checkered cocobolo grips, or perhaps an HK P7M9, blued with wood grips.

Two stainless 1911's in shoulder holsters. It would only make sense since my Tommy Gun would fire 45 acp as well!

Ultimate bright stainless 38 Super Auto, or maybe nickel plated

The question was
Of your guns, what would you carry if you were a classy Hollywood style gangster? Would it be a different gun depending on your role in the "family"?
not what fanciful non-owned gun (though some of the answers among that group were VERY entertaining..MikeSA, do you actually own a K9orth? I thought of that, but don't own one).

Jeff Goldblum's character carried a target 22 rimfite in "Ten Speed and Brownshoe". He had no holster; if I recall correctly, he carried it in either a paper sack or a folded newspaper.

I have a 1930's era Colt 22 that belonged to my Uncle. That would do for quiet wetwork. For real class, a S&W Model 41, but I don't own one of those, nor an Olympics grade target pistol.

For combat-style duty, I have a pair of Coonan Model Bs that would do well in matching double-harness shoulder holsters. Or, for quantity firepower, the Calico

For heavy-duty stopping power (cars and armor), Super Redhawks in 454 Casull and 480 Ruger with steel-core ammo. My shooting buddy has a S&W 500, so I might borrow his.

Of course, for "drop" guns, I have a couple of Brigadiers (Egyptian manufactured Beretta 51) I could use.

I may not qualify as a classy mobster, but my arms would be at least partway there.

Now, do you want to talk long guns? (no, my selection is quite limited there.)

In the 1964 movie, The Killers, Lee Marvin takes a 357 Mag revolver from his briefcase. Then proceeds to screw a silencer on the barrel. Talk about Hollywood, going Hollywood!
