right now, i have a SW9VE loaded with 17 rounds of federal 147 grain JHP on my belt, a spyderco chinook II in my right pocket, a utility HAK around my neck, and a spyderco 93mm rescue model in the left pocket. is that paranoid? maybe, but i'm okay with that.

Funny you should ask. Just had a truck load of strangers stop twice in front of my house. I was in the garage working and found it interesting they were pointing at the only house on the corner..mine. I was not packing but did stuff a utility razor in my back pocket before peering out of the garage...they took off before I broke the threshold. No I did not plan to confront them but wanted something in case they had already started to come up the driveway and I needed time to get indoors.

My Glock 17 is about a foot away and my Glock 23 is about 20 feet away at the moment. My Glock 26 is usually on my hip and an XD-45 normally resides safely in the bedroom.

A beer bottle, toenail clippers, a lit cigarette and a lighter are on my bedside table. On my bed is a Yugo AK-47. I was having too much fun last time and fired ALL of my ammo. The intimidation factor and bayonet are intact however. My nudity may also serve as an effective repellant.

An 1851 Colt Navy replica cap 'n ball(in .44), and a Mosin-Nagant M44, loaded with the lighter East German training rounds.

Far from ideal, but it's what I have. Normally I'd also list a good door/doorframe and deadbolt, since you won't find many folks capable of kicking one in. Can't list it now, as it appears mine did it's job. Looks like someone attempted that very thing recently, and failed. Since I'm in an apt right now, going to have to wait for it to get fixed(not long though).
Probably the drunk from across the hall. Wouldn't be the first time he's tried to force entry thinking it was his place and his roommate locked him out. Still, not happy about this.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your dog Lonestar. Right now I am surrounded by a 180lb Mastiff, a 85lb Bulldog and a 6 month old German Shephard. If that doesn't scare them off I have my always with me Keltec P3AT in my desk drawer.

Mastifflover - Welcome!

My nudity may also serve as an effective repellant.

Works for me!!

On the subject...

Now - Ruger SP101 full of Buffalo Bore 158gr JHC's riding in a D.M. Bullard Dual Concealed Carry IWB.

Earlier - S&W 642 packing 135gr Gold Dots nestled in a RKBA Leather (by GunNut) square pocket holster sitting in the pocket my new Christmas plaid PJ's.

Glock 26 is on me if I am awake, and in a place where it's legal to CCW.
The wife has her G-26 or her little 5 shot S&W 38
We do try to avoid 30.06 places, but also do respect the law.

Colt Commander 45acp in a Wilson Combat Lo Profile holster. The Colt is loaded with Winchester 230 gr. round nose ammo. When I go to bed the Colt goes into the nite stand next to my bed.

High Point .40 carbine by the couch and a pretty intimidating Boxer who doesn't like strangers. Have a Mossberg 500 and XD40 in the bedroom.

On my person, a J-frame S&W.
My primary carry gun (SiG P228) is about 6 feet away on my bedside table.

My mutt is undoubtedly running around somewhere in the house causing mischief, but I don't expect her to bark at anyone--just drool.

On desk, with 360PD next to it, but, the PD is being dry fired in the prayer that the trigger may, far in the future, become acceptable.
Cat is feral, half anyway, and generally goes on alert when people are a block away...

Under pillow....

Walther P99 9mm in an Uncle Mike's IWB. It goes where I go. For those of you who notice numbers that look like your favorite calibers, this is my post #308.:D:D:D:D
