Its way to hot right now and theirs no shade in the desert.
When Im burning myself on my guns and dripping sweat all over Its not fun, so I spend this time reloading and hoarding supplies.
I dont like shooting at the indoor ranges but I do a few times every summer, Its just to long to go without shooting.

I don't mind the heat so much, but when you add humidity 
.
I get paid to be outside...so unless your paying me, I'm staying inside. Once it hits 90+, it's just a number.

went to the range fri and sat on the way back from the gun show. yes i burned up 
sweat in you eyes and gun powder in you face what a day.
i was still able to unload 300 45acp fri and 150 sat .
now im reloading 45's and 44's just to stay ahead.
cant wait till fall

Nice covered firing lines at the ranges I use and they are laid out so you never get direct sun. Temps from -15 to 102. Just dress for the occassion. If the line was not shaded I be there a lot less often in the summer mos.

I went to the range everyday I could in Iraq where it was 110 on a cool day. I am back in Washington state now. There is no day that it is to hot for the range.

I answered yes but in reality, I just take shorter trips to the range....one or two guns instead of taking 8 to 10 guns.....shoot the one or two guns to stay in shape and then get back into the air conditioning asap.

100 degrees out west is different than 100 degrees here in VA. It's not the heat I dislike, it's the humidity.

Its not been the heat so much as the thunderstorms. We'll got to the range in the evening of a 95 degree day because the shade will be spreading over it by then. And a light rain isn't too bad on the covered range.
But we draw the line when the lightning starts.
That's 3 canceled range nights in a row the past 2 weeks.

train like you might have to fight one day. i don't wait for the 73 degree days, with clear skys and no wind, i go when i can if that is the rain, snow, or shine, 100 degrees with 100% humidity i am there.

I live at 9000 feet in Colorado Rockies, never gets hot out here.
A hot day here is 80 degrees and 10% humidity, awesome summers. I've also got my own backyard range, does it get any better? I know what your're thinking next, what about the winters? They aren't that bad, I've only had to skip a couple of Saturday shooting sessions last year, its typically in the upper 30's/low 40's during most winter days.

afternoon's; with a heat index 'round 105. This week (08-04/08-10 its
suppose too be worst than that. And with that, its just too damn HOT~!

No, I go year round. Southwest Florida gets pretty gross, but not the temperature extremes you fella's out west have to deal with. It's the humidity and the intensity of the sun here that gets you.
Covered line at the range. Drink water, rest often. Worst day I ever had at the range was when it hit about 45 with 30 mile an hour winds. I could barely reload my Bearcat my fingers were so numb. Remember though, I'm NOT used to that....

I have been to the range in 120 degree heat with full battle rattle and in below 0 weather with 4 feet of snow. If I want to go weather is not really a factor.

I wake up, its 60 degrees, then at noon its about 80 degrees. To me that is fine. The problem is the humidity with anything over 80.

Not in Ohio it ain't. It was in the low 80s yesterday, and I was at the range from 12:30-3:30 pm. Shot about 300 rounds of .22LR, all from my first firearm, an old Remington 510. I had most of a box of Golden Bullets to kill off, and for once, no squib rounds. Great afternoon.
For the first time, I shot kneeling, sitting, and prone as well as from the bench and standing unsupported. Kneeling was kind of difficult because my ankle is still healing from a severe sprain Memorial Day weekend, and shooting a single-shot bolt rifle from prone is kind of cumbersome. I think I'm going to try to do the same exercise twice a month. It's an hour drive to the ODNR range in Farmington, but it's a pleasant hour.

This time-a-year I spend more time at the indoor range, taking new shooters out and practicing pistol marksmanship in the a.c. Fall's on its way, and that's when I spend a month or so gettin' ready for the huntin' season. *plenty of time to grease the gears*

I didn't go today but not because of heat, I just felt like sitting in the shade and reading instead. It was ~92 here today in WY. Weather doesn't really keep me from the range when I want to shoot. I go in the snow in the winter all the time.

99 degree temps with 80 degree dewpoints. Went to the indoor range today. Besides, i'm an on anti-inflamatory med and i'm to avoid excessive heat and sunlight while taking.
I leave for work at 6:00am and I've got no joke nasty looking mold growing in my yard along with ugly gray mushrooms. I get home about 4:30, it's dried out and all the stuff's gone only to be back the next morning.
I'm less worried about heat than I am some folks and their allergies!

I've gone shooting in 97*F heat, with some craptastic humidity. Louisville, KY, by the way.
The thing that limits my shooting is time, more than anything. I've gone shooting in the snow and pouring rain, as well as blistering heat. Just drink enough that you don't dehydrate.

My shooting hole is in the basin of a swap, about 15 miles off the coast of Myrtle Beach.
It's waaaay too friggin hot to shoot. Not to mention our state bird (skeeter) will carry you away.
I've been shooting once this summer. Within 15 minutes, my shirt was see-thru drenched with sweat. Ridiculous.

we shot rifles yesterday. the high temp i think was 103.
we shot pistols today. the high temp i think was 105 today.
i go as soon as the range opens and stay for no more than 2 hrs.
when it cools off a little i will stay longer and my groups will get smaller.
ps. had a 5/8" 5 shot group with a 16" ar at 100yds yesterday so it didnt effect me too bad, lol.
