Unfortunately, the girls are just repeating what their parents are preaching. Not only that, but they do have some talent and might make it in the music world if they singing about another topic. Like it or not, white girls singing about race are automatically labled racist while rappers saying the same are considered artists. No matter how good the girls get when they grow up and become educated, they will now always be stuck with this label.

Ahh man. WHY do they have to be from Bakersfield?

Not to worry, natedog-they are off to fulfill Richard Butler's dream of Coeur d'Alene:

But even before that, April had decided that Bakersfield was not "white" enough, so she sold her home, and hopes that she and the girls can find an all-white community in the Pacific Northwest.

Well, these girls labeled themselves as racist, but I would like to see some examples of racist rappers who’ve been feted as artists.

I don't recall anyone getting upset over Kanye West's comment.

The double standard is sickening. :barf:

Kanye West’s comments weren’t in his music, and a mistaken accusation of racism doesn’t mean he is a racist himself. Next?

Rap music(as a whole) is not RACIST....

Hell, most of the people here,of their own admission, can't even understand a single sentence of a rap song, let alone dciphering the entire code:rolleyes:...

Pleas explain to me how rapping about big buts, promiscuous women performing (fun) but indecent acts(lol), shooting people, doing drugs, drinking, gang violence, and whatever else is in some rap songs is ,"Racist"...Please explain this to me!!!! 'Cause either I am dense, or just don't get it???

Simply because something is not what you like, don't try to so quickly demonize it, just because you don't like it, get it, or understand it....

Reason #1,295,698 as to why I carry concealed- The little Nazi Olsen Twins, and anyone who listenst to their music:neener:...

PS- Before you call someone a racist make sure your sights are set on the proper target. Some rap is violent, some rap is,"Gangsta", some rap is beautiful, some people are stupid, and the world keeps spinning...

I would take exception with the statement that "some rap is beautiful". Rap and beautiful do not belong in the same sentance. Much like 'rap' and 'music'.:p

Fair enough. I play music for a living and teach part time, so I have very definate ideas of what "music" is, and scratching records over a canned drum track while talking loud doesn't fit my definition. The closest thing to rap I enjoy is Rage Against The Machine. Great songwriting and musicianship along with real passion equals something I can enjoy. Luckily I have a pretty wide range of tastes. Maybe someday I'll develop a taste for rap.
Sorry for the hijack.
Biker;)

LawDog, thanks for the link. Though I would have liked to see more reference to actual racist lyrics—what was quoted looked mostly tangential to black anger about white racism—the site does make a pretty good circumstantial case for Ice Cube as a racist. The Nation of Islam is certainly a racist organization, even if racism isn’t its primary focus.

Biker,

Go look up the song,"Lonely", or,"Mr. Lonely", by Akon...Beautiful song, that some men can relate to. If it makes you feel better think of it as a Country rap song. :neener:...

PS- Speaking of country music, the Nelly and Tim McGraw(? I think?)song ,"It's All In My Head", is another beatiful rap song. I could do this all day really..."Summertime" by Will Smith...Beautifully articulates the joy of being youthful and having summer fun...Since someone brought up Kanye West,"Gold Digger", is an awesome song, that Jamie Foxx pulls off an UNCANNY impersonation of Ray Charles, and his second recent song"Jesus Walks", is a rap song entirely about his faith and belief in God, but you have to be able to understand it though:evil:...

I am sure that all the White bands with hate filled music ,titles, and group names, such as"Rape Me", AC DC(after Christ the devil comes:uhoh: ), and Korn(the K is actually backwards in their name) who literally scream into the mike while making incoherent bable a part of the lyrics(I still like some of their music, as a dearly departed friend of mine(white),"turned me on", to what he was so pissed off about his father molesting him),but again, Black guys rapping about big buts, promiscuous women, and a 'hoodlum lifestyle, is so much worse:eek:...

*That's* where I'm going wrong.I just hit 50-no longer youthful. On the other hand, Hendrix did kinda rap out the lyrics to 'Voodoo Child', and if Jimi did it, it just has to be good.

Hunmter Rose,

That,"tidbit", as you put it, while conveniently ignoring the point of my post, came from my said same, dearly departed friend. I had no interest in a group with such an ACRONYM for a name, and after he told me what it stood for(I only knew of the acronym because of Bevis and Butthead lol) and hearing one or two of their,"songs", I did not have to hear anymore...Just like with guns, you don't have to like what I like, just respect it enought not to want it banned...

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over?

>That,"tidbit", as you put it, while conveniently ignoring the point of my post,<

I put it as "tidbit" because that's what it is: a tidbit of information. And one I've never heard of before (and still don't know where it came from). As for ignoring the point of your post: I didn't have anything to say regarding the rest of your post. The "message" of most music is VERY subjective (see the lyrics for Ozzy Osbourne's Suicide Solution, and the controversy surrounding it to see what I mean). Sorry if it seemed I was blowing off the rest of your post...

>came from my said same, dearly departed friend. I had no interest in a group with such an ACRONYM for a name, and after he told me what it stood for(I only knew of the acronym because of Bevis and Butthead lol) and hearing one or two of their,"songs", I did not have to hear anymore...<

Like I said: where did that info come from (about the acronym)? As far as I know, it refers to "Alternating Current/Direct Current"...

There are a LOT of people who will read into anything. I have to even question the connection with "Prussian Blue" (although less so, given their open rascism). Knowing where the information on the acronym came from (not just telling me "a friend", but actually citing a source) allows for judging the credibility of the info. If it was from Billy Grahm, it's credibility is suspect. If it was mentioned in an interview of the band, then you have a different story. I approach most info that way...

>Just like with guns, you don't have to like what I like, just respect it enought not to want it banned...<

And I spoke of banning something WHERE? I just asked where your info came from...

On this particular point, there is nothing to question. Here is what these girls have to say about themselves in an interview with the neo-Nazi National Vanguard they are members of:

National Vanguard: Please tell me the significance of the name Prussian Blue.

Lynx and Lamb Gaede: There is also the discussion of the lack of "Prussian Blue" coloring (Zyklon B residue) in the so-called gas chambers in the concentration camps. We think it might make people question some of the inaccuracies of the "Holocaust" myth.
