You should not be "grabbing the gun" from her hand you knucklehead.

I have another question. Is it normal to have some sort of glue adhering to the front sight? It looks like locktite or super glue was used to secure the front sight into the slide. (This was my only complaint of the entire Glock line-up. I wish they'd dovetailed the front sight in place.)

I'd like to remove the front sight and try and remove the excess glue junk. It's bad enough that it isn't actually dovetailed in, but now the front sight looks like it's glued on!

On a side-note, I absolutely love the stock Glock night sights..great sights IMO. The sight picture is so nice. Big white dots during the day, and bright decent-sized dots at night. I like them better than the Trijicon 3-dots I've had before on another gun. I'm still considering selling them for Heinie Straight-8s, but would like to try Novak or Meprolights too. Does anybody know the actual distance these night sights are sighted in for from the factory?

From my experience Glocks and blazers don't get along very well but your milage may vary. From what I have seen if a Glock gets even slightly dirty aluminum Blazers tend to stick in the chamber. I would try some Winchester White Box and other brass cased ammo first then, if they work OK, clean the bore and chamber and try the Aluminum Blazers again.

This is in direct contradiction to my own experience with G17 & G19...

I buy the CCI Blazer ammo in 1000-lots, and the 9mm 115 grain fmjs have been flawless. My G17 has about 12,000 rounds on it (without one hiccup, mind you), and 90% of that has been CCI Blazer. Judy's G19 has some 8,500 rounds, again, mostly Blazer.

I did get a bad shipment of CCI Blazer .45 ACP, where some of the cartridges varied up to 1/8" in length. The short ones wouldn't feed... We've deduced that some moron materials handler slammed the packages around, compressing some of the cartridges; though the interior packaging looked fine. :scrutiny:

I would advise the OP to mark the label the magazines with tape and mark each incident... We did this with Judy's new G19 and her five new magazines and wouldn't you know, all the marks were on one mag! We exchanged this and the problem disappeared. That was Dec. 2005.

:D

But a glock is "Perfection"!

There is no way that you had any problem with the gun.

You just had a dream that seemed so real that you had to tell us about it.

Thanks for another lame and useless post on an otherwise somewhat useful forum!

I've held several of the m&p series in different calibers but just don't have a thing for them. Maybe that'll change one day.

Any advice on how to clean up the excess glue stuff that appears to be keeping my front sight on?

I have experienced the same problem with my 3rd gen. G19. The problem has been with aluminum cased blazer. Apparently the loaded chamber indicator extractors don't grip the aluminum cases. Since I have changed to brass cased ammo, the problem has been solved.
