I just told her, if I'm gone, cart them down to the gun shop and take whatever he gives you and be done with it.

That's a great way to get a fraction of the value out of them. The last way I would ever try to get money for a gun is to take it to a dealer. They have to give you less than someone else will pay them or they aren't going to make any money on the deal. You may consider finding a trusted and gun savvy person to appoint to a position to liquidate them.

Turned 70 last August. Started out with Smith wheel guns and have added a FEW autos along the way. I'm so old school that after carrying a couple of autos over the years I went back were I started! Smith J frame. Have given several of my Smiths to my son. I've turned him into a wheel gun man and it's a joy to watch him shoot the model 14. most I can say is "I could do that-years ago!" Old arthritis has sent all the magnums to his house! At least they're getting shot!
