I think the 10mm round is wonderful, when not too watered down. My only experience was with a full size, steel Witness. It shot wonderfully - as a semi-semi-auto. The frame absorbed the recoil nicely and felt like I was shooting a more mild round than my Glock 22. The issue with the gun was a FTF that consumed more funds in parts and test ammo than I originally paid for the pistol. New extractor, extractor spring, recoil spring variations, multiple mags, new mag spring and follower... the list goes on. EAA smith was as helpful as the soup nazi.
I've purchased probably twenty different handguns since then and, with my 3rd gen Smith experiences, would likely pick a 1006 next time.
No more 10mm's in my future until I begin to reload though. Until then my 9mm's are great for capacity usage and my .45's make me feel all warm and fuzzy.
