The liberal media is trying to print as much BS as it can before the ban dies in a last-ditch effort to drum up support for the AWB and are playing on the ignorance of the people on this issue. Take a look at http://www.awbansunset.com/ and see just what has been printed in the last 6 days in a row, WOW they are going totally nuts!!!!!!!!!

The cry will only get shriller in the next several weeks.

Unfortunately for the grabbers, several other things are dominating the news cycles right now. I doubt they'll get any traction at this point in the game, but it's always good to stay alert.

Actually, I doubt the national leftist extremist so-called "news" media are turning up the heat at all. They're well aware the so-called "assault weapons" ban is going to expire in less than a month. There's naught to be done about it. It's over. Finished. Done. Kaput.

They're merely laying the foundations for a much more sweeping so-called "assault weapons" ban in January or Feburary, 2005, when, coincidentally, our elected misrepresentatives will no longer fear the voters.

Sadly, I see SW's scenario as the most plausible. And here I am without money saved up for the expiration...

Gee....What if Comrade Kerry gets elected in Nov but Dems lose several more seats in Congress and the Senate shows no significant movement?Does the phrase Rasing Hell come to mind?Arm twisting and back room deals are a 2 way street. The security situation is not going to get much better even if Osamy is captured and drawn and quartered in front of worldwide TV.The price of oil will continue to climb and people wont take much comfort in Kerrys blather when they watch the price of gas go thru the roof again.
