Looks like the panic buying has already started.

I have had a few friends that know I reload calling up and asking if I will reload some ammo for them if they buy all the stuff.:banghead: Some of the same ones I am trying to get to learn to reload so this thing will not overly bother them.:scrutiny: The LGS I frequent has a VERY depleted stock this evening. Handgun case is wiped out just about. Will people ever learn?

There's no stopping this one, I fear. The stampede is on.

(Fortunately I've been hoarding excessively since the last ban expired.. but I feel for anyone who's caught off guard.)

I was in St.George, UT earlier today at the Sportsman's Warehouse. Looks like the panic has started there...........gun counter was two deep where the AR type guns were. Glad I was just looking for some reloading stuff. When I got home I thought I'd see if the internet was seeing any "panic"...........looks like 223/5.56 is as scarce as hens teeth. Then went around looking for 30 rd. mags.........zippo. Yup, it's gettin crazy.

Went to a 2 day gunshow here in Michigan this weekend, Sunday there were still ARs on the tables. I didn't even check the pricing because I figured it would just piss me off. I picked up a couple 30rd Magpul mags for $13.50 ea, strolled around looking at single stack 9mm cc pistols and called it a day.

Buy what you want to shoot. I believe in geting what you will use, be it an AR or some other platform. In a panic situation the price of everything gun goes up. The EBR will get the most pressure right now for sure but the other gun prices will follow the pattern.

Just called the St. Louis Cabelas and they're out of PMags. Dude said they were going for $34 and $38 (for the ones with the window). So I simply went to Brownells.com and saw they were on SALE for $12.99.

colorado as the cbi for the instant back ground. check about 1/2 hr ago and they had over 2,000 people in the system trying to pass a background. it was running over 20 hours most of the day when I checked it was like 7 hours. I do not see it getting any better for awhile.

Many retailers are already out or in very low supply of AR mags. Most if not all places are out of 5.56/223 ammo including Walmart.

The frenzy has surely begun. I was not into firearms during the last AWB; now I know how it is like.

I was in the store today. I have never seen so many AR's move in one month, let alone one hour. The counter was deep in people waiting for their background checks.

They had 33round Glock mags, but they won't last.

I grabbed some ar mags from a surplus store today and the price was right and the amount of mags was lets say very good.

It may even be like in the wake of the '09 panic where people suddenly are dumping all the stuff they bought in a panic but don't really want anymore. The saturation of the market led to lower prices on ARs than before when it all started.

Maybe it's different where you're at, but I sure didn't see these "piles of low mileage ARs" in any of our local shops. People are not letting go of them around here.

Late 08 and the 1st half of 09 saw AR's that would normally be in the 1100-1200 range selling for 1800-2200. Those owners, some due to their plastic melting, started trying to unload em heavily in late 11 and early 12 but it was way too late to recoup anything remotely close to their initial investments.

I work the Houston area gunshows and I can't tell you how many sad faces I had to turn down on trade-ins.

I had been planning on purchasing a 308 lower, guess I should have bought it when I first decided I wanted to do a build.

OMG....the price on the LE6920 on Impact Guns site is now $1499. I know for a fact that it was a few hundred less than that over the weekend. And here we go.......

We have about five AR's left at the gun shop I work at but we sold three today alone.

I checked our distributors today and there are zero AR's and AK's in stock, every thing is allocated. So once the one's we have are sold who knows when we'll get more.
