Main reason you own a handgun

I know many of us own guns for multiple reasons, but what is the number one reason you own a handgun?

I know its going to sound all heady but, I origionally owned guns as a exersize of my 2nd A rights. Just that. Now, I did shooting targets...

Ditto on the " because I can", something we should never take for granted. Truth is, I've always been interested in them since I was a little kid watching all of the old war movies.

I never owned a single handgun before Bill Clinton took office. Now I own quite a few. It is pobably a combination of things. Maybe because I'm a supporter of the 2nd ammendment, maybe because I don't trust the government, and maybe because when someone reaches into a rabbit hole to pull out a helpless rabbit, they will get a rattle snake instead.

Brought a handgun because IT'S MY RIGHT. Secondly I'm looking for work in armed security as it's better money and will help earn income on the side. I bought it for personal protection. Also, I enjoy shooting. Lastly, I'm Sicilian so I couldn't resist not running out and buying two Berettas!

Range and personal protection, for me. Though the probability of needing it in this town is slim to none, I still like having my gun around me. No sense in not being prepared for anything, if you're able.
