I live in the most liberal silly place I ever have. the guy next door, a white beemer driving never served his country , voted for ALGORE type. Started one of these little talks with me. I was unloading my car after a shoot. I have about fifteen guns. I was nice about it. But I could tell. That he was honestly afraid. It made me feel weird. then two weeks later. He had me come over and chase a possum out of his garage. Cant imagine being a man and being that weak. Point is this. Lots of people have never dealt with anything outside of there realm. So it is not real to them. They are really convinced, that they nothing to fear. But they are afraid of everything. How it has come to this. I have no clue.

This sounds like a psychological malady. A need to be helpless.
A wet dream for a predator.

Ask them -If they could have killed Hitler painlessly and anonymously before he did so much harm, would they have? Would one life be worth the lives of milliions? Should abortion on demand be legal? Have you ever had an abortion? What if LEO's kill criminals in self-defense or in the line of duty? What if they do it to save your life? Would you make them stop if you could? What if by that action it endangerd the LEO's life? HmmmHmmmHmmm - Just a barrage of questions to get them to analyze their thought process.

Should have reached over and stabbed the steak with you knife and said.. "Take a good look - that's you! Or to be more precise, that is a criminals eye view of you or those you love. A helpless piece of meat to be attacked and consumed."

THEY SAY: "We'd be better off if no one had guns."

WE SAY: "You can never succeed at that, criminals will always get guns." (FLAW: The implication here is that if you COULD succeed, it would be a reasonable plan.)

WE SHOULD SAY: "So, you want to institute a system where the weak and elderly are at the mercy of the strong, the lone are at the mercy of the gang. You want to give violent criminals a government guarantee that citizens are disarmed. Sorry, that's unacceptable. Better that we should require every citizen to carry a gun."

When you turn your left cheek to your opponent, you're just setting yourself up to deliver a powerful right hook.

Something else I forgot.

To strike someone with the palm or fist in that time was to automatically equate them as your equal. However to backhand was an insult, to say you're worthless.

You just forced the guy to acknowlege you as your equal, or tuck tail and run.

How powerful is that?

Or were you talking about YOU punching the guy back? (on second read looks like you were. Also an acceptable responce, but not actually as powerful as the 'inaction' above at the time. Of course, the nonviolent aproach only works if the guy giving the insult actually cares about his societal standing, etc. If he didn't, and was really out to just kill you and rape your family, Jesus would have no problem with putting a spear in the back of his head.)

Sgt Stevo "men" like that (I am using that term loosely) scare me. I was killing possums with a shovel when I was 10!! Just because you are the big red neck gunowner you are supposed to know more about chasing possums!!!! Sorry for the red neck comment, I was refering to how allot of these people think about us gun owners. I just can't see how being a gun owner makes us any less refined or respectable in societies eyes.
