A couple of weeks ago I bought 1600 pounds on Tuesday and another 500 pounds on that Saturday.

It makes for a full day of making ingots.
Five quarts at a time and extra 20 pound propane tanks.

I bought a new GAS ONE propane burner and like it
WOW! have you considered using a natural gas line from the house? it would save you a ton of money

I'd be using wood or coal and a blower. With that much volume I'd go a long way to reduce costs.
Natural gas is the only thing that cheap here in Washington. Wood is free, very free if you pick up logging scapes.

You would not believe what water and sewer cost here… $300-$500 a month in the summer

I never understood how a place with so much available water charged so much. When I looked into it, I found the treatment was extreme to make it safe for ocean or sound discharge... never really bought that idea.

you don’t know the half of it, I’ll keep it at that, don’t want to derail

Motivated to clean and try my Lee 6 cavity for the first time. Anything different to know??? I thought I was going to be a fan of the hg 68 and I'm just not. I played with seating depth and even bought a new mag. I have the Lee 200 swc 45 that has a more rounded profile. It may address the feeding concerns I have.

I will stick with propane, I bought a new GAS ONE propane burner.
It really melts the lead fast. The only problem with it is the burner is 12 inches in diameter and the bottom of the five quart Dutch over is eleven inches in diameter.

I have Dutch oven hang off little in the front so the flame doesn't travel up all around the cast iron pot.

To cure the problem with that I am going to get a piece of 1/2 plate steel and have it cut the size of the frame and have a 11 inch circle cut out of it so the flame will not go up the sides of the pot.

After picking up the 500 pounds of lead and the 50 pounds of range brass I wet tumbled a bunch of 45acp range brass I bought a while ago. I will be shipping out 1,000 pieces of large primer pocket 45acp to semi local guy on a semilocal gun forum.
I am going to keep 500 pieces of the small primer pocket 45acp cases for myself.

I had to watch the three grand kids so the other half and her daughter could go out to diner with her mom and sisters.

They just got back so I have the heater going out in the shed and I'm going out and seperate the 50 pounds of range brass and pound down three Mike's blackberry/Pear bottles and I have twelve beers on ice.
My relax time, I enjoy separating the brass.
I have the brass seperater sifter set.
It makes it EASY.

Some of the wet tumbled brass on my drying racks.

I took a popsicle stick and went over all the sharp edges of my mold, pulling the edges outwards (just to catch any burrs left over from when they cut the cavities). Then scrubbed it with dish soap and rinsed.
After it dried, I smoked the cavities with a butane lighter. Bullets pretty much fall right out.

Try to find a 100# bottle. Sometimes there is a price break for buying more and you can shop during the off season.

Propane is the only thing I've ever used. Natural gas would be cheaper but I've always had an all electric house until I retired and bought a generator. So I've just stayed with the propane rather than building another burner for natural gas.

When I had a Food truck, we had 100# bottle and filled them at Costco

You can if you get the lead out or your a$$.

I need to go though my buckets of brass and see how many 5.7 brass I have. Once I do I'll let you know how many there is. .
I stayed out to the shed until 3,45.
The three Mike's and twelve Buds was enough for one night.
I did get another tub of brass wet tumbled and the fifty pounds of brass seperated.

The 100 pound bottle is a little to much to handle, the Co-op fills the twenty pound bottles for $16.
7/11 use to be $19.99 to exchange bottles, they went up to $25.99
I had two out dated tanks and took them in and got two good tanks. Now I can take them in to the Co-op and get them refilled.

look out for 10mm ! me< like

I have enough 10mm brass so don't need to cobble.
I did buy the jig and mini Cho saw to convert 223 into 300 blackout but never used it, I have been picking up a bunch of 300 blackout in the range brass I have been buying.
One of these days I'll be buying two AR uppers in 300 blackout, a pistol & a rifle.

I did order the microscope and flash light stands yesterday for the Lee Hardness Tester.

In a couple of weeks I'll buy a CABINE TREE lead hardness tester.
