I'm looking for a place to shoot rifle in North East ohio. Cuyohoga, Lorain, Vermillion etc.
I had an application in with a local club but things fell through and looking for something else. 100 yard range minimum
I found a few that want like $200-300 to start and $100+ a year plus work hours so would like to stay away from anything like that as that's out of my price range.
I found a nice 100 yard club for $90 a year that had several spots so I sent the application in with the required initiation fee and was told someones family members got the spots over me. I waited for 3-4 months and they cashed the check and told me I was getting in to wait until the next months meeting-well those spots got filled by club family and I asked for my money back until I was going to have it in writing I was in. I was told if the money was sent back the application would be ripped up. took me another month to get my money back.
I have a few others but they want $250+ to start, work parties with minimum of 20hrs, sell raffle tickets, show to every meeting, etc. to me this is a bit much or is this the norm?
