Hello all. I've had an NEF pump for about six months or so and it's been a joy to break clays with. In all seriousness, I was a bit hesitant to buy a Chinese knockoff of the classic American made 870, but money was an issue, and I went overseas for my Second Amendment needs. I really couldn't be happier with the performance of the NEF gun. It takes a weekly 200-300 target loads and maybe 10-15 slugs/00 buck loads to shake up the undergrowth. I've never had a problem with this gun, it is a workhorse. I've even seen some reviews that claim it to be superior, on average, to the 870!
The only problem I've had with the NEF is that the pump action was very stiff out of the box. However, with a nice metal file and a few squares of fine-grit sandpaper, the action is as smooth as butter. It hits doubles better than any pump gun I've tried--yes, even some of the 500-600 dollar Benellis. Of course, I'll probably upgrade once I get a bit more disposable income as the "made in china" stamp really hurts my patriotic soul to look at.
I know there have been some threads concerning this gun in the past at THR, and my purpose is not to over-analyze the same points. I just wondered if anyone else out there in Remington land has ever shot the NEF Pardner? I would definitely recommend it to anyone for a first shotgun. Any other satisfied customers?
