Took a trip to the range today to shoot (among others) my G26 with .22 conversion kit. I was out of Golden Bullets, so I stopped at Walmart to resupply. I know, they are dirty, have a high rate of failing to fire, bullets are often malformed, but for some strange reason, they actually work fairly well in the Advantage Arms kit (Mini-mags work great, but cost a lot more to plink with).
Anyway, at Walmart, instead of the usual 550 round box of GBs, they have 225 round boxes marked "new and improved". I was going to buy some anyway, so I picked up a couple boxes.
Opening them up, they looked more uniform than usual. Burned up 225 rounds with NO DUDS- very unusual for GBs in my experience, and two rounds that failed to chamber- less than normal.
I'm hoping Remington has perhaps listened to all the complaints about their ammo and has stepped it up a little on QC.
