A good dog that gives me the heads up if someone is outside.

After that, my SA Mil Spec 1911 with a good handheld light. I shoot it well, and it’s reliably fed all types of ammo in the 3500 + rounds it’s been fed.

Until recently it’s been a Glock 19. Also a good choice, I just like my 1911.
