One 9mm

I've described my hands as "on the small side of medium," so . . . smallish for me, too. I haven't shot a P365 of any variety, but I've never liked the way they felt in my hands. The Shield, though, is an entirely different matter. With the extended magazine, it feels like it was made for my hands.

Funny, I'm just the opposite. The Shield Plus may be The One for me. Someone will have to come out with an absolutely dynamite pistol at a dirt cheap price to get me to switch again.

I'm often surprised at how much difference a couple of millimeters here, and 0.2 oz there makes in how a gun feels in the hand.
I had a P365 with a Hogue Handall and it still felt small in my hand. I also have a Handall on my Shield Plus and it makes it a perfect fit for me. I find it amazing how they were able to do a stack and a half and keep it so narrow. My other current favorite is my Kimber Micro 9 Rapide and it's about the same overall size of the Shield but much lighter and seems to carry smaller when in light weight clothing. Love them both.

If you could have just one 9mm pistol, which would you choose?

Do not overthink this. Whatever the situation is, you can have just one 9mm pistol. That means you could swap it for another. Assume that the limit is not legal, but for some sort of personal reason such as being a diehard Browning fan keeping a little bit of sin on the side in secret.
VP9

I have owned and shot a bunch of 9 MM's. I do like to compete now and then. When I held my first VP9 it was like, where have you been all my life honey. It fits me so well but it comes with panels to make it fit better. It is accurate enough to compete against guys with custom guns. But it is well balanced and fairly light and compact. There are several very nice guns listed on here. My VP9 does it all.

That ongoing hypothetical scenario yet a good mental debate for me. The one I can think of is already gone, the Sig 229.

Does a 320 fcu count? Have a basket of modules but just one “gun”. That’s my pick.

This is a tough one. I like 9s of all kinds, but I'd have a hard time parting with the German SIG 210 Target model. It works literally 100%, and is as accurate as any pistol I've ever owned. Of course, I realize it's not the best for home defense, big game hunting, duty, concealment, carry, mortal combat, runnin' and gunnin' completion, etc., as it is not light as polymer, has no optic cut, no rail, no hi-cap magazines etc., etc. I guess I'll just have to make do;)
