i'm 60 and I carry whatever I'd have carried when I was 30 or 40. I've exercised all my life and not much has changed that would effect the type of pistol/revolver I'd carry at 60. If I were slow and infirm - i'd not carry a weapon because I'd be afraid someone would grab it before I got around to it :)

Well I am only 52 but my father who just pasted 80 normally carries either a pair of S&W 325PDs or a pair of 396's and always a 642 in his pocket.

Same thing i carried 42 yrs ago after getting out of the Army, 1911, Gov.,Comm., and Kimber Ultra! All i will ever need!

Like the guy who had only one string on his guitar -- "All those other players are looking for the place. I've found it."

John M. Browning found the place a hundred years ago, and I see no need to look farther.

only game in town with solid reputation!

A nice j-frame revolver. No laser to confuse me. No semi-auto. 5 shots, now, tonight, tomorrow. No ftf, fte, double-load, stovepipe, or going out of battery, when your opponent is breathing menthol in your face. Lastly, if you had to "whip it", it would still function! It fits the pants pocket, the M1a jacket pocket, and the pocket of the topcoat. I have BHP's, but j-frame, with either WC's or SWC's, makes my day.

I'm almost 62 and I carry a Kimber UltraCarry or commander. At the very least I carry a Keltec .380 or 9mm. I carry even at home or when out on my property. Once shot a pitbull attacking my chickens late one evening. I wasn't wearing shoes but I was wearing my tools. Good shooting!

I am 60 and I will carry as long as I can pull the trigger and hit what I aim at. Right now, that's often. I think older people are preyed on and need protection more than the younger guys.

At 66 today this Sig P238 as pocket gun when dress dictates. This for when being on feet much, like shopping at Wal-Mart.

Or this S&W 629-8 Talo Special 3 inch, but it is mostly a car gun and always goes where I go.

Sometimes one of these Delta's, but less and less the last couple years..

My favorite is a Glock 36. Having said that ,I carry a Ruger LCR .38 special +P most of the time. When the cooler weather comes around the Glock will be back.:)

Colostomy hump barring IWB (feeling I'd give 'EYE-gor's hump on "Young Frankenstein" competition. (That's Frahnk-en-steen!) ... pocket holster'd Taurus 850CIA J-Frame .38 Special ... speedloaders/speedstrips/loose SWC or WC cartridges.
(Cancer survivor since 2000, w/3 op's later); turned over 59; Viet vet 3 yrs. Thai-Cam.)

Well 60 years is starting to get awfully small in the rear view mirror, but the S&W model 60 still fits in the pocket. I just wish it was a little lighter so it wouldn't keep pulling my pants down.
