How about a television series about self defense?
Next week, on The Outdoor Channel, "Personal Defense TV" begins airing.
Basically, we went to the S&W Academy, Valhalla, Gunsite and Thunder Ranch to see how the pros teach various personal defense techniques.
One venue says it can take someone who has never shot a gun and have him/her shooting and moving though a low-light shoot house within 30 minutes.
Each week there is a segment with Massad Ayoob (LFI), as well as a segment with Clint Smith (Thunder Ranch, Oregon).
Some of what you see will be standard fare for old hands in the self-protection game, but it will be new and exciting for those who have never been to a gunfighting school.
There will, however, be some interesting things for everyone, no matter how extensive your background.
It was fun to put it together. I created the concept last December, pitched it, got the okay from everyone (including the network), and we moved fast to get it all shot.
Low light, handguns, rifles, shotguns, tactics, avoidance, etc., are all covered.
Should be fun.
(I host the show, but I depend on the real experts to deliver the info. In fact, they sometimes use *ME* as the dummy for takedowns, etc. Yeah. Fun. uh huh.)
