Nice Altamont grips on the 642, and PPK. How do the Altamonts do with grip on the 642? I want to buy some but the Jframe ones I want are sold out.
Thanks! The Altamont grips are excellent, the fit is so perfect that the seam where the two panels come together is almost invisible. Also, the "Super Rosewood" is exceptionally durable, because it's actually a wood laminate impregnated with the finish rather than a piece of raw wood.

I did make one small ergonomic modification on mine for personal preference. I sanded down the left grip panel a bit where the thumb rests, to make it more comfortable for me.

Also, I forgot about my most pocket-able pocket pistol, the NAA 22 Short!

Got a few but keep coming back to the 9 Shield.

Yeah, Shield's are great guns. That's actually my main semi-serious carry gun when I want to go above pocket carry level. Mine has had zero failures in 1000 odd rounds. One day I'll upgrade to a Plus. It's just hard to pocket carry, but I have a few times in large pockets. I use it in a high riding owb holster mainly.

Very cool. Altamont grips as far as looks are probably my favorite. I posted in the op of this thread a pic of my Bond Arms with extended Altamont grips.
Even a year ago many Altamont grips were available online, but now more models are sold out. I plan to get some for the Beretta Tomcat pictured at some point.

Those mini-revolvers are cool.

Man, I'm jealous of a lot of your guys' old school Colt, FN, and Beretta type automatics. What brand is that, a Raven?

Pocket pistols are my thing and make up a large part of my collection. Here are a few.

Here's are the two that I came home with last month.

I love the CZ 45 posted above. It's one of the guns on the top of my list.

Amazing collection! I like the flintlock one ;). One day. Nice Astra. What caliber is that?

I have a thing for collecting pocket pistols too, although I'm early in.

View attachment 1060592 I’m cutting it off at snubby level for my definition of "pocket pistol," and my 642 may be too large to qualify as that although it can fit in pockets. I don't consider 9mm and larger subcompacts to be true pocket pistols.

Kahr PM9 is shorter in length, width and height than a 642:

My pocket pistols, Sig 365 and Kahr PM9 - neither is a primary unless push mowing the yard or jogging.
Wouldn't a 365 print in pocket? Yea, but my always untucked shirt covers top part of pocket and conceals Glock on belt.
I'll not carry less than 9mm.

The Astra is 22 Short. Pocket pistol collecting is fun and interesting. One of the things that really attracted me was the huge variety of high quality guns that were on the market for a couple of hundred bucks. Other than the TPH and the flintlock none of the guns pictured was over $350. Most were well under $200. These days supplies have dried up and asking prices have skyrocketed but there are still occasional bargains to be found. Another good thing is they don't take up much space. One word of advice to a fledgling collector is don''t wait to long to get a Colt Pocket Hammerless. I can't see them ever coming down in price.

Regina 6.35 MM
Gregorio Bolumburu Regina 6.35 MM (25 acp) caliber pistol with 7 shot magazine. Produced in the 1920's for sales in the United States.

full.jpg Tried to sell it for $100, a few times locally, no offers. Was my summer gun, till I bought a 10 Oz S&W 337PD in 38 spec.

Edit Add- Shoots great. No jams.

That's true, there are a few micro 9's that fit the category. I more meant the Shield, Hellcat, and 365 size. They are pocketable with good sized pockets, but aren't really truly "pocket pistols." Arguably, neither are most snubbies like the 642 either.

Good point, I know. There is something so cool about the range of historic pocket pistols, and even current ones. In my pic I posted, I got the Tomcat for a $215 and the Bodyguard for $220, both in good condition. Always hunting for deals if I know I want something.

That is cool. How does that .25 ACP shoot?

This is a really cool thread with some neat little guns. The smallest gun I own is a shield- someone already posted a pic of one and besides everyone probably knows what one looks like anyway, so I'll just look at everyone else's neat little guns.
Shields are great. I will never get rid of mine.

There were a bunch of pretty pocket pistols at the Arlington (TX) gun show today (more of a cowboy/western show). All in really nice, collectible, condition, and thus, "collectible" prices, sadly. More Colt 25s and 1903 & 1908 than I've seen in one spot in a long time--so, much lusting.

Back to topic:
Probably most "pocket sized" I own:

.32acp

Ok, a bit bigger

And, I feel required to include this one

And, for those who might accuse of stretching "pocket" a bit:

Pockets apparently were larger "back in the day" [:)]
