I guess I would need to know a little more about the question.

I spend more time in hours loading with single stage presses.

I load larger quantities of ammunition on my progressives but in less time.

Sometimes I am using a single stage while there is a progressive running in the room, at that point I guess I am using both equally, it’s just loading a lot more than I am.

I really don’t use my turret presses much anymore, a friend of mine has been using one of them for more than a decade now.

Where is the arbor press option. Is this poll even for real loaders....
OP revised to include arbor press.
Single Stage/Arbor/APP/Co-Ax/etc, Lee Classic/Turret or Progressive?

I load everything on a Lee Reloader press. I have used a Reloader for the last 15 or so years to do almost all of my loading except for one year I used the Loadmaster due to too many hours at work. I’ll usually load 16k a year on it with 90% being 9mm and the rest split pretty evenly between 38 and 357. Now I’m loading 223 again so I’ll probably load 5000 this year to add to the mix with all of it being hand primed with the Lee bench primer. Time I have, and I enjoy the process so doing in batches works for me. All my brass is done in batches and stored primed.

I load 9mm on a Dillon RL-550B, and if/when I standardize on a .357 Magnum load, I will add it to the Dillon. Until then, .357 Magnum, .38 Special, .45 ACP and all rifle cartridges are loaded on a 35 year old RCBS Rockchucker, including a LOT of .223 Remington.

My single stage is still used a lot, but now mostly for the decapping of all my brass. For my pistol load development the turret works perfect. The big difference for me is using the turret with or without the Lee Auto Drum. For higher volume (50-100) the Auto Drum is used, but for load development, the expansion die and a funnel is used.

I probably load 5X or so rounds on the progressive versus the single stage.

I've been a reloader for 35+ years. Never owned a single stage. Started with a MEC progressive for shotgun and stayed with progressive presses from there on. Currently using a Dillon 1100 for my 9mm. I have an older RCBS progressive I use for the other pistol calibers I shoot (.40, .357, 44 mag), but it does not get much use these days.

Never loaded rifle shells, and probably never will. I just don't shoot rifles enough to justify it.

As in GeoFloridaDude's poll, I answered single stage. I use a MEC 600 Jr. for 12 ga. and an RCBS Jr. 3 for rifle and pistol. I have a MEC 650, which is sort of a 'manual progressive', but I'm still a little leery of it; I've been using the 600 since I was 9, I can work it in my sleep, (pretty sure I have at some point...) But I have to stop and think before I pull the lever on the 650, and check whether I've done everything right before I dump the shot right on top of the powder because I forgot the wad because I checked the primer and hull were where they needed to be.....:p

Well based on “ round count” I’d have to say a single stage press. However the single stage in question is a loading lever attached to the percussion revolver. Technically speaking it is a press for pressing the projectile into the cylinder chamber, or is it an arbor press.
I do load metallic cartridges too. Those on a either a progressive 550, center fire smokeless rounds or a Lyman T-Mag turret 45C black powder rounds. 9EA75DF1-DAF4-45A1-B0F3-D6ECC8801561.jpeg

I guess the next thing is to poll people on their round counts - what they load, not what they shoot since quite a few of the large capacity loaders supply clubs, family, competitions, etc.

All yours. Last time I was volunteering to run the poll and we got our wires crossed. This time, I leave it to you. :D

I forgot to add that I use hand dies and an arbor press for a couple of calibers.

I do almost all of my loading, and all of my handgun loading, on my LNL, but I still have my single stage Partner press, which comes in handy from time to time, plus my old single stage I used in Benchrest to size 6 PPC (Too short for anything longer), and my arbor press to seat.

LCT has handled almost all reloading to date. I now decap everything with the single stage. Earlier this year I added a Lee ABLP to handle the 45acp duties.

Progressive for almost everything. Small batches of hunting loads .300WM or .243 I would typically do on a single stage.
Basically, runs of 100 rounds or less on my single. Most times I’m loading 200-1000 at a time on one of 2 Dillons.

I load mostly all pistol and revolver rounds these days. My rifle loads still get loaded on the RCll, all my pistol/revolver loads are loaded on the two progressive presses I have. LNL-AP and Lee ABLP.

Guess I am a bit weird compared to most. I said single stage with an explanation. My two present presses are a RC II and a RCBS turrett. The turrett is populated with a Lee universal decapping die, a shell holder for the CH4D swage tool, a 38/357 sizing die, a 9MM sizing die, a 44 MAG sizing die and a 45 ACP sizing die. I decap all my brass before cleaning first. I resize my most popular brass and remove primer crimps on the turret. All other resizing and all other operations like expanding, seating, and crimping are done on the Rock Chucker. I basically process all the brass in the winter months and store it. Then load in batches as I need the ammo before range trips. Weird rite?:p

Poll - What type of reloading press do you use primarily based on round count? (Even though you have multiple types)

Single Stage/Arbor/APP/Co-Ax/etc, Lee Classic/Turret or Progressive?
I have one press that does it all. My trusy RCBS Rockchucker. All my handgun or rifle.
The shotshell unit is an old Versa Mech. It's good for 10ga, 12 ga., 16 ga. and 20 ga.

Did I mention I am not a speed deamon when it comes to loading ammo?
