So I bought some ARX bullets to try them out.
.358" 71 grain for .38 Special
https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1019859728
For those of you who don't know, they contain zero lead.
They're a mix of polymer & copper dust.
- supposed to be able to push MUCH faster than lead, plated or even jacketed.
So I followed my tried & true method...
Start with tumbles brass, Full length size, Bell & Charge, Seat & Crimp.
Tried 'em in 3 guns - None of them fit!
I've NEVER had this issue in the past,
and I've loaded tens of thousands of .38 Specials.
Over the last ten years I've loaded well over 100,000 rounds of various calibers.
So my conclusion is the bullet must not allow the case to spring back into spec?????
i resized 2 rounds & put 'em back in the box.
Tomorrow or maybe in a couple of days I'll retry them.
Does anyone think I'm missing something?
TIA
