My pleasure. I don't see any point in working in this industry if you're basing your business model on lies. I am not motivated by money. I actually have a day job that's very flexible, which is why I'm also able to do this, that pays me very well, gives me and my family our benefits and retirement along with quite a bit more. My motivation is to serve the industry I love myself as a consumer, before capitalism. We are all shooters here at heart and this turned out to be a problem that after some research and contacts made, seemed like I might be able to help solve, at least on a small scale. That's about the most transparent business response I have ever seen. Thanks.
Send me an email so I know which order is yours. I can absolutely make that happen. If I buy a case, can you get your dad to sign it? I love this whole story and will probably add my own twist to it. Kindda want to display it in my reloading room, to remember 2020
Our import permit is for 15M primers. My import contact will be getting SPP and SRP in his load. I've specified both on my import permit, but only wanted to list the SPP as a first run because honestly until this whole thing works from start to finish, although I am confident, I've had some skepticism myself along the way. We will eventually be able to offer every kind of primer made by Ginex. This is considered a trial run in my book. Once the first one goes, the gates will open. Just to be clear, we won't bring all 15M across the border at once. That would expire the item from our permit and it takes about 2 months for a new one to be issued. How many do you have coming? If pre-orders exceed that amount, would you bring in more? Any possibility of getting small rifle primers?

As far as I know, there are no Bongino's descended from Ireland or Scotland, but I'll check to make sure. My importer has friends on all corners of the world when it comes to finding what he wants. Tula is Russian and there are sanctions regarding arms imports from there. Fiocchi is a no go. They're not selling primers for another 3-4 years either. That has been what most companies have told us when we contacted them or their registered import agents here in the US.---
First, thanks for the candid responses. Second, are you related to Dan Bongino by any chance? Your style sounds like his. Finally, have your Canadian contacts approached any other manufacturers, e.g. Tula or Fiocchi, as secondary sources or alternative suppliers? ATB. BTW: my payment cleared today so my skin is in the game.
15,000,000 primers!!! Flood the market and drives those prices DOWN!Our import permit is for 15M primers. My import contact will be getting SPP and SRP in his load. Sorry. that was a brain malfunction. I was thinking CCI but wrote PSA.Palmetto State Armory is owned by JJE Capital Holdings not Vista Outdoors. Unless I’m missing some part of the shell game these conglomerate/holding/hedge fund companies are doing.
Oh my gosh, I’m going to buy some primers from this guy just because I love the whole effort and him taking the time to tell it to a bunch of strangers.
I’ll eat crow gladly (but not until I actually have primers in hand of course).
Unfortunately this will not drive prices down. The scarcity of the product and demand is driving prices up. The reason ammo is so expensive right now is because the raw materials are in such high demand and are therefore expensive. The cost to ammo manufacturers has increased and so the price is passed on to the customer so they can continue to operate at the same profit margins. I wish it would help but I seriously doubt it will. I'm barely making anything on these at the end of the day and my profit will depend on the volume I sell. That's just the economics of it.15,000,000 primers!!! Flood the market and drives those prices DOWN!
Lifetime should make a series from this Story
Probably got confused because JJE was the stalking horse bidder on Remington's bankruptcy. They ended up with several parts of the company but Vista got the ammo brands and facilities. For all the talk in certain circles against monopolies and in favor of "the little guy" when it comes to guns and ammo all of those cries go silent and functional monopolies are formed with the blessings of the courts.Palmetto State Armory is owned by JJE Capital Holdings not Vista Outdoors. I did the same as you. Ordered 2k, then after seeing the candid response ordered 5k more. Thanks very much North Fork Tactical from a brand new reloader with everything but primers!NorthFork Tactical,
Thank you so much for this interaction!
I’d ordered a couple thousand primers as a sort of test but after seeing your post, ordered another 5K.
Best wishes to your success! You kind of remind me of what Austin Weiss is doing in FL with Grind Hard Ammo!
Take care!

Yea we are planning for that possibility. Steps will be taken to sustain what we have started once we get there. I have no plans to walk away from something that could become the legacy I leave to my children. I'm in this for the long haul if that's where it takes me.NorthForkTactical -
A reasonable and measured response to what was beginning to have overtones of the Spanish Inquisition
But - in all honesty this could take over your life concerning the number of folks that are needing these items. I only ordered 2K as I am running lean on money at the moment...but if you are going to make this an ongoing concern I will be helping to eat your (primer) lunch.....
Yeah, I ran the math. IF you manage to profit 1 red cent on each primer, you may make $150K. Not chicken feed but not a great paycheck for all the hassles, either. Standing front-n-center to BATFE has never been "safe."Unfortunately this will not drive prices down. The scarcity of the product and demand is driving prices up. I plan to. And SRP are definitely in the future! Thanks Noah. I hope you stick around the site this is a great group of people and some interesting conversations. Once this order comes through I hope you can get your hands on some SRP’s as well.
Of course thats before taxes and expenses. We hope for the best.Yeah, I ran the math. IF you manage to profit 1 red cent on each primer, you may make $150K. Not chicken feed but not a great paycheck for all the hassles, either. Standing front-n-center to BATFE has never been "safe."
