List celebrities that are progun.I'll get the list started :Tom Selleck, Hunter S. Thompson.

Steven Tyler has been in my work along with Joe Perry. One of the members of The Doors is also in now and then.

I'm not going to tell what any of them bought though.

How about Fred Thompson (Senator & actor), Chuck Norris, Charles Bronson, Ted Nugent, Charlton Heston.

It seems like one of the Baldwins is actually pro gun even though one is very liberal.

Hunter Thompson was pro gun.

Anyway this topic comes up quite often on this site, next time do a search and post in one of the older threads.

I am not sure if Clint is a real advocate of the RKBA. He probably owns firearms, but I have heard statements from him that made it sound as if he was not really on our side.

I've always supported a certain amount of gun control. I think California has always had a mandatory waiting period, so we were never concerned about it like the rest of the country. Some states didn't have any at all. So I've always supported that. I think it's very important that guns don't get in the wrong hands, and, yes, I would support most of that. I don't know too much about trigger locks. I've never really discussed that with anyone. But I do feel that guns - it's very important to keep them out of the hands of felons or anyone who might be crazy with it."

Can't say I disagree.

A guy that I trust pretty well that said he saw Phil Collen (of Def Leppard) at the gun range he goes to.

I guess it's cheating to name the pro-gun politicians. :neener:

It's probably also cheating to start naming rappers.

GENERAL GEOFF - "Clint Eastwood."

No, Eastwood is NOT. He is pro-guns for himself, but not for us worker peasants. (Same hypocrite as Spielberg.) Eastwood is also extremely anti-hunting and in a Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine interview several years ago, likened hunters to mental disturbed men.

Why do you think Hollywood loves Eastwood so much? Because even though he sometimes plays Mr. Tough Guy who shoots Bad Guys on screen, Hollywood knows Eastwood in real life -- as opposed to "reel life" -- is one of them.

Leanwolf:

That's news to me. I'd also like to point out that being anti-hunter is not necessarily being anti-gun.

I don't particularly like or endorse hunting, but I'm one of the most out-spoken RKBA advocates around.

I'm thinking of mailing a letter to Mr. Eastwood and asking him myself... It's highly likely that any kind of "interview" he had with an LA publication may have been twisted and mis-quoted to portray him in a light other than context would otherwise dictate.

It's probably also cheating to start naming rappers.

If they're legit RKBA, lawful ownership, responsible use... then no.

If they're rapping about "cappin' poh-lice wit my glock foh-tay" on their CD, and living in a Hollywood mansion surrounded by armed private guards, and funneling money into anti-gun political groups (*cough* A & M Records) then no.

Maynard James Keenan and Adam Jones of the band TOOL.

"F*** all you gun-toting, hip gangster wannabes" - from their song "Learn to Swim"

I think that was the name of the song. It was about them wishing California would wash away into the ocean... which would not be all bad.

True, being anti hunting does not make one anti RKBA. I take myself as an example.

Though have you ever read or heard anything from Clint that would prove him to be for the RKBA? And playing a tough guy in the movies does not count. People seem to be basing their assumptions that Clint is Pro RKBA on his on screen persona, when little is actually know about the real Clint. It just as concivable that he is not pro RKBA, at least not for us. It goes to show that one can not judge a book by its cover.
