Question for all you SHTF guys

Before I started checking out this forum I never realized that there were so many people planning for "SHTF" scenarios. I live pretty deep in the country and I guess I always knew what I would do in a bad situation. I had never really thought about others though. So my question is for you guys that are not living in the woods already. Just what exactly do you plan on doing? Hole up and defend? Runs for the woods? I find it very difficult to imagine myself caught in a bad situation in the city. Just driving through one is almost enough to kill me.

One of the biggest things, I believe, for the cities is no one is going to make it by themselves. You have to have a plan to work together weather it be friends, family, or both. Medium sized groups will do the best. Consolidate supplies and protect each other.

there are some (me included) that will hopefully be able to 'bug out' to a family member's home that lives in a fairly remote area. about a 3 day hike/walk. others may have to go 100's of miles to a 'retreat'.
