I believe that its this one:

But mine is a feminine color between rose and plum. You can see it here beside me on the bench.

All the others are larger and richer in pockets, but I liked this one for my needs.

I've thought about getting one of those, but it doesn't look like it could hold my other stuff.

No, I'm sure it's NOT a Midway bag, sorry if you took it that way. But I'd pay the NRA what they're asking for those simply because I like to support them. And like I said, they've had them forever, so they must be pretty well received.;)
No problem, the confusion was probably on my end.
I decided to call Midway, and they confirmed that they do not make the NRA bag. Furthermore the Midway bag is made in China, and only comes with a 90 day warranty for those who might want to know.

A local gun shop used to sell Bagmaster brand bags and I got one as a gift. It's the extra large Pro-Shooter's bag. It's held up really well (has to be at least 10 or so years old now) and I've used it to haul some serious weight in ammo, mags, guns and supplies/accessories.

The only thing I don't like is the little padded sleeves that come with it and are designed to fit in the two large outer pockets are kind of a tight fit once a gun is placed inside them. And there's really no room for mags in these along with guns.

Other than that small complaint, it's been a really good bag and I don't need anything else.

Just to weigh in on the Midway bag..
I find its an excellent range bag that comes with 2 pistol sleeves to protect your guns.
The best part is that Midway stands behind their product extremely well. The shoulder strap on mine refused to maintain its adjustment. I was trying to decide if it was a defect or an effect of having 500 rnds 9 mm, 500 22lr and 200 .357 plus the 3 pistols in there (it was a weight lifting exercise:p). Before I took the time to notify them of the problem, they sent me an email saying they had some complaints and were sending me and everyone who had bought the bag a new strap:D It works very well even with the weight set.
Love a company that stands by their products.

That is good news, but presumably it was within the first 3 months? I ask because they told me it only had a 90 day warranty.
I am not sure what the Uncle Mikes "Limited Lifetime Warranty" covers, but presumably they will stand behind their bag for as long as the original owner has it.

There is an outer pocket that holds my ears, my goggles, the manuals, and a few boxes of ammo.

If you have more stuff its probably better to choose one of their larger bags. But if you are just carrying a couple pistols, spare mags, ammo, and safety gear this model does the job.

Yeah. There are so many totally different types that interest me. It's tough.

Right now I'm thinking this bag and these for my pistols when they go in the bag.

Tomorrow will be different.

I've been using an old piece of luggage (I think it's a Samsonite) for years. It's one of those overnight duffles w/ zippered pockets on the ends and front. Had to replace the shoulder strap after one weekend when I thought it would be a good idea to put all the ammo in it - it was full of lead... But the bag itself has been exceptional.

Also, it always amazes me how many times we overthink things. A range bag? How about a bag that our guns and ammo fit in w/o breaking? One pistol and 100 rounds will most likely fit in your girl’s purse. Do you want to pay that extra $$ for something that says, “Blackhawk,” etc? (Just the first brand to come to mind – not intending to imply mall ninja status here)

I have a friend who’s twice my age (almost). He’s been using nothing but brake cleaner and motor oil on his guns since before I was born. Granted, they’re not show pieces, but they all go bang. Every. Time. When he shows up for our tailgate clay, “games,” his Mossberg and Fox Model B come out of a surplus duffle bag. Neither are pretty, but he breaks stuff with them.
Another friend uses a 5gal bucket w/ the tool belt thing. The cool part about this is that our brass and hulls go in the bucket part. It’s his land, and he doesn’t ask for it, we just do it.

All I’m sayin’ is that before you go buying stuff, check your garage for something that might work. Sure, they may look at you strange when you pull up, but once you start hittin’ stuff, no one will care about the bag you’re carrying.

Midway Range Bag, either size. Best Bang for the $.

The pistols I'm currently shooting live in mine. Along with a whole raft of other stuff. Mine is about two years old and shows no sign of wear. Aside from being really tough with great zippers it seems to have been set up by someone who actually uses a range bag. I would still be using cast off bags from lap tops and such, but the Midway bag is just too good. I see it for $39 very often on Midways web sight. Heck of a deal.

The Midway bag is great. It holds more than I need for a trip to the range. Brought 3 guns and several hundred rounds with me this morning, ears, eyes, mags, assorted other un-necessary stuff. I could have easily brought another couple of guns with me with more ammo had I wanted to. That bag can get pretty heavy... I'll give out before the bag will though. It doesn't break the bank either. I've got a friend who will usually buy the best of anything he's in the market for. Once he saw my midway bag, he had one on order before the day was over.

Yes, you can use just about any bag regardless of what it is made for. I could use an old tennis bag that I have because I got a new one for Christmas. However as I said in my OP, my current bag which is starting to come apart. So I may as well get a bag that will not only protect my various handguns, but will also carry everything(i.e. all the weight).
As to the name on the side, I just as soon black it out or have a generic range bag. I have no desire to advertise.

I have had the Galati Super Range bag for about 25 years. (I also have several of their nylon rifle cases.)
I have used the range bag a lot over the years, and it has held up very well.
They are my first choice for nylon bags/cases.

Check out Gall's Police Supply web site. They have just about anything you could want to carry guns, ammo, range gear, etc from under $20.00 up.

The Midway bags are fantastic. I got the one that Lonestar (post #12) also has.

I got it for $30, and I can tell you that I would be willing to pay at least $60 for a bag of equal quality. It is fantastic and I highly recommend it (I prefer the green by the way)

As a revolver guy, I don't need an expensive bag made with magazine compartments, etc. So, I filled my needs inexpensively; by recycling a lightly used bag designed for another purpose but quite suitable as a gun bag. (Bought for $5.00 when accompanying my wife at a local yard sale.) I went to the range today carrying my leather computer bag / attache case from bygone days. A well-made, black-leather bag that is strong and really looks nice. Inside one compartment were a couple dozen 8 X 10" paper targets, hearing protection, eye protection, a range towel and a bottle of water. In the main compartment were five S&W revolvers protected from each other by individual gun socks / soft cases - a 4" Model 66, a 2" Model 15, a 3" Model 10, a 3" Model 65 and a 2" Model 37. With longer barreled guns I take only four. Ammunition is carried in a separate small rigid black case.

With a solid shoulder strap, this bag carries that amount of weight just fine and it has seen frequent use for seven months now.

This morning, with the bag over my shoulder, I went up to the counter at the local Starbucks, ordered coffee and then left. No one gave me or the bag a second glance. (I do have a concealed carry permit.)
