Rebirth of the 32 ACP?

Just got back from the range with the used Kel Tec P32 I just bought. Ran 95 rounds of Fiocchi Range Dynamics, 73 grain, FMJ through it and it ran flawlessly except for one failure to feed which was my fault for thumbing the mag release. The mag dropped and the round did not feed because of that, so the gun runs great. I got some groups at the end that I will measure and share later, but for now I'll say I managed a 4" group at 3 yards with 8 shots. That may not be great but it ain't bad for me. The real test is in a tense SD situation.

Keltec makes a +1 Baseplate to bring it to 8+1 and allows a better purchase for a 2nd finger.

They also make a 10 rd magazine that provides a full length grip. Although I wouldn't carry it loaded with 10 rds. It seats very tight and put alot of pressure on the mag catch and slide. I think it could cause problems and I reccomend only using it as a 9+1 mag.

The Beretta M81's hold 12+1 of .32 acp.
The M84's hold 13+1 .380.
M82 .32 is 9+1
M85 .380 is 8+1

A VZ-61 is 20+1 .32.

Good idea on the +1 round base plate. I better order a couple of them. Yeah, I could not find the 10 round mag on their site, think it must be discontinued, perhaps for the reason you give. You can get them online, but cheapest I saw was $50.

So to finish what I started above, the last 31 rounds I shot from 7, 5, and 3 yards with 8 shots each, and point shooting at 1 yard the last 7 rounds.

At 7 yards I would have had a 5-inch group but for a wayward shot that put me into a 9-inch group.

At 5 yards I did not do so well for some reason, and one did not even make the target paper.

At 3 yards I got a 6-inch group with 5 of the shots in a 2-inch group.

At 1 yard, point shooting rapidly, i had a 12-inch group, but three were tight in the center with a 1-inch group.

Part of the problem with the mouse gun is getting the finger to work the trigger. Either I use the first joint and the finger is arced out to the side, or use the second joint. Second joint is nice but in a SD situation there will not be time to push my finger all the way in.

Another thing with the Kel Tec P32 is it will pretty easily go out of battery if pressed into an attackers body. The Seacamp would not go out of battery with the fixed barrel being the top part and the slide underneath it. So in that regard the Seacamp is better. The other advantage of the Seacamp is that it will not drop a magazine by accidentally pushing the release while gripping the gun. My ammo arrived today for the Seacamp (the manufacturer recommended stuff) so next trip to the range will try that out.

Only with multiple attackers or a fentynol hyped guy who is dead set to kill you. He might take more than 10 rounds of 9mm to stop. So for most incidents, no, we do not need that much firepower.

Multiple attackers? Nah, just one.
Drugged? Nah, logical thought in use when taking felonious action that merits lethal force response.
Capacity? Who want to carry around more bullets than they need.

C’mon man. If you’re going to create another juvenile meme, at least drop the anti-snub nose revolver memes in the right thread.

In most of the extreme examples that get presented it really wouldn't make much difference which of the handguns i own happened to be with me.

Multiple attackers? No matter how many rounds or how powerful the handgun my desire is to break contact, become as insignificant as I can possibly be and not do anything that would increase their attention and attraction to me.

Drug crazed maniac? Yup, very likely regardless of what handgun I happen to have with me I'm toast. Again, my best option is to become as insignificant as I can possibly be and not do anything that would increase his attention and attraction to me.

A mass shooting event with a guy wearing body armor and using a rifle? Again, my best option is to become as insignificant as I can possibly be and not do anything that would increase his attention and attraction to me.

A robbery? File an insurance claim.

A theft? File an insurance claim.

A car jacking? Please, take my car.

Civilians face a whole different set of challenges than military or police. I do not want to detain anyone, try to stop a domestic altercation, make a traffic stop; I want to end up walking away; nothing more than that.

Fight or flight? Flight!
