Received my refund on the primers this morning. I was in for 5k, Noah was very willing to give a refund and it was a painless experience (only took 3 days to show in the bank). He also stated that when the primers come in he would send an email so that folks can reorder if they wish (very cool). If or when they come in I will reorder, I will give him my business again.

If or when he get some I will reorder. I just don't understand whats different this time around then the last time when "permit was denied". Had to be a reason it was denied the 1st time, and the likelihood that reason has changed?

Received this update today.

Hello again everyone,

There have been a few inquiries this week asking for another update on where things are at with the primers. As stated in the last update, I have had to reapply for another import permit with the ATF through my broker. This process takes at minimum 8 weeks, during which time I am waiting for the approval and am given zero update from the ATF or any other agency. This is now a waiting game and without anyone providing me with any updates, I have no updates for any of you at this time. If this makes any of you uneasy and would like to request a refund, I will extend the same courtesy I have in each of my previous emails and issue them immediately. Otherwise, please exercise patience along with me and I am positive we will make it to the other side of the road. Obviously we’ve had setbacks beyond our ability to foresee, but we are working forward towards the common goal of receiving this initial pallet of primers and fulfilling the currently held orders the day they arrive. Thanks for hanging in there with us, and if you choose not to, I completely understand.

Best regards,

With regulatory red tape the reasons can be many. He could probably resubmit the same application and they would accept it lol
I've been through similar processes with DOD and NIH and, yes, it happens quite often that resubmitting the same application for a grant, license, funding, software product, process, etc. will be accepted while the previous identical applications were rejected for reasons which make no sense at all - I had a coding submission rejected because the font was not one of the approved type-faces - or sometimes they just expire before being reviewed - NIH is famous for this. It's your government at work depriving you of commerce. Exactly what the founders had in mind. o_O

Why was his first application rejected, and what is different in the second application?
Don't know, but here's a link to ATF's import permit application. Item 17 gives possible reasons for a non-approval.

.
In addition to the above permit, the applicant may also be required to register as an "Importer of US Munitions" and that's another application all together.

I don't doubt NFT will come through one way or another. For me I just didnt see an end in sight. Not knowing (keeping secret) why denied the 1st time makes one wonder what will be different this next time. I got my refund not because I thought I was being ripped off, but figure in a minimum of 8 weeks to find out again just felt like...idk maybe I'll beat the refund rush. I wonder if its denied again, do you continue to wait?....are refunds gonna be automatic after another denial? Primers are pretty plentiful now if ya pay $100 a brick. Cuz people suck. This place "Cliffs safes and reloading" in Boise, they stick it to a guy. 100 bucks and they make you buy other things if you wanna be allowed to buy some primers.

Gotta go with your gut feeling, and it doesn't appear that you are one of the group saying---" I TOLD YOU SO ".
So I hope NFT follows thru and offers folks like you another chance to purchase.....and, YES, some people DO suck.....;)

Definitely not an I told you so, in fact I'm probably gonna be telling myself that regarding not having waited long enough, if or when they do come in. I sure do hope they come in and I get a second chance on a decent deal. I would have no problem sending NFT my $$ again.

I think the main reason I want to stick it out is quantity. I ordered 10k which should last maybe two years.
I'm guessing even when things loosen up the sellers may well limit how many you can buy. I don't want to have to go looking every 3 or 4 months. Could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.
