I generally shoot off a lead sled and that really tells me just what the gun can do
You need to get the gun off the sled.
Start off with small expectations and improve from there. As a Rifle Coach we tell new shooters first step is keep them all in the black. The black can become as big or small as you need.
And even when I shoot competitively I try to remember to shoot against myself. Doesn't make any difference what the other guy's doing as there will always be someone better on any given day.
It doesn't take much to get a thread locked on here.Mods, as long as this stays friendly and civil please allow this as a rifle test thread.

Actually, it’s rather simple. As long as the thread offers something interesting and/or productive and stays civil, you’re good to go. When it degrades into personal diatribes and insults, or attacks a product or particularly an individual, it goes away in a hurryIt doesn't take much to get a thread locked on here.
