But....John Wayne would shoot it on horseback. I don't even have a horse. :(

I did a little trial shooting round black bulls. Yeah, this will be a little tougher. There is no U.S. coin made that will cover all of my shots. It will be good practice though.

Super Bonus of 100 points IF ALL 10 shots are in the black and can be COMPLETELY covered with a Dime.

You know some mutant cyborg ninja shooter is going to do that, right?

Hi JustsayMo,
:scrutiny: :scrutiny: :what: :what:   :uhoh: :neener: :neener: :D :D :banghead: :banghead: That oinker is home free with my skinner mounted model 39a. I can't even see it.

Ted, where have you been? I've been representing the 39 club with a little help from Mal in these matches. I'm going to be bummed if I don't get you entered.

Afy: Slings? Hmmmm, I hadn't considered it, BUT if you use it hunting then it is OK in the match, hasty style.

Plinky: Dude, I omitted the horse requirement knowing that your pony was in the shop :p I have confidence though that you'll probably shoot a near perfect score because everyone knows you are a ninja jedi... There has even been some early speculation that you will shoot this match from the hip just to give the rest of us a chance.

Hi Mo,
Poor time management on my part.:scrutiny: Semi-retired and Nemo's disease, no timeitis, is getting contagious. Some family health issues which hopefully are resolving. This month is looking better, if certain wanderers will stay away.

LOL. If you only knew... If I can hit the pig 10 times I'll consider it a success. My practice session tells me I still have some work to do. Next time I'll take a scoped rifle which may work better.

Here's something you cowboys might like:

Use the bulk of the song to put your targets up and return to the line. Save a few seconds to give the target an icey, squinting glare. When the music ends, open fire and empty your 39 at lightening speed. No misses are allowed unless they are used to knock a cig from the pig's mouth or shoot his hat off. It won't be easy but if you can pull it off, you deserve a 1000 pt Clint Eastwood bonus. Just a thought...:D

When you say "the line" do you mean the edge of the black or the thin outline outside of that?

In that case, it looks like I can score this one 30 points. Those two holes low in front of the leg are two shots each, and all four go completely under a quarter. Rifle was a 10/22 with an 18" bull barrel in a Boyd's Smart Stock and a Sightron 3-9X scope, set on 6X. No sling. Ammo was Wolf MT. This is definitely harder than it looks.

Nicely done Jubjub! Thanks for posting!

I screwed up and left the targets at home my last trip to the range...:banghead: Now that makes it really hard score! :scrutiny:

k at the range, since we're in canada, we have 25 meters :O i dont wanna cheat but 25 meters is pretty big compared to 25 yards also our quarter is smaller :uhoh: not saying i cant do it :p i'll give it a shot saturday

oh really? we only get your pennies here cause the quarters are too big, they dont fit vending machines so i guess people throw them away, i think i got one once from a store (set aside vacations in the usa)

Charles, Welcome! I'm sure we can come up with some sort of "Exchange Rate" for scoring your targets :)

Lets see, 25 meters = 27.3403 yards, so each hit will equal 1.093612 point at that range. :p:D

Once I figure out how the difference in coin sizes we can calculate the bonus' :D

In all seriousness though, it is always a pleasure to have shooters participate in these matches from other nations and share their shooting experiences with us. Again, Welcome!

ok here we go Ruger Mk2 ultra dot w/fed lightning I'd say it's an 18 but the two shots above can be covered with the other two below which would be 28.
P9040148.jpg
and rifle entry Ruger 10/22 Swift 1 -4.5 X set to 4.5X W/fed auto match
score is a 30
P9040147.jpg

Ruger 10/22 Carbine with extras

Ruger 10/22 Carbine semi-auto standard barrel
Tapco Fusion Stock (no sling)
Tech-sights TSR200 front/rear sights (iron sights)
Sunny 88 degrees Calm/No wind
25 yd offhand standing
Federal .22LR (Bulk 550)

I figure a score of:
9 (9 shots in black) + 25 (5 shots covered by a quarter)

I tried the August match but never posted. I did better on this one anyway. :) These contests are quite fun for lone shooters like myself.

I think there should be a 100 point bonus for putting an eye on the Javalina too.

I shot the pig today but I can't get the target attached. I've deleted my score from my posting until I can attach the target. Flyrodder

I think I've got it attached now. I shot the pig with my Handgun today and I have a score of 9 + 20 = 29(4 shots covered by a quarter in the HAM). This pig is going to limp. Flyrodder

I'm entering my semi auto rifle with a scope entry also. I've got a 9+20=29(4 covered with a quarter). I haven't shot in many of your matches, but I think this match is one of the toughest. Thanks JustsayMo for taking the time and effort to put these matches together.
