"Shopping Cart" Midsouth vs MidwayUSA

If you log in under your account, it will follow you from computer to computer but it has done that for a very long time.

No, it doesn't. I just checked.

Apparently the "shopping cart" is stored in the computer and not on their server like the "wish list". I have two accounts at Midway (dealer and personal), and I see the same shopping cart items no matter which ID I use to log in. At a different computer the shopping cart has different items, but again is the same without regard to login ID.

The wish list seems to be tied to the login ID.

I shop at Graf's more than any other place. The shopping cart isn't saved on their server so I just print it and keep the hard copy handy to refer to when it's time to order. The idea of emailing the list to yourself sound good. I may try that next time.

Midsouth's shopping cart

To permanently save Midsouth's shopping cart, right click your mouse and choose "Save Page As..." . This will create a file containing the cart on your PC.
At a later time, click on the file and the cart will open in your browser.
This works for FireFox, I don't know about IE because I haven't used it in years.

Amazing, you guy's are killing me. I have always put things in my wish list because that's what it is. Some things go in their that I might not actually buy for a real long time. When I need things I just add them to my cart as needed. I've had a RCBS chargemaster in my wish list for about 6 months. I've purchased 4 or 5 times things from MS in that time and none of them have been the charge master. I like to pick and choose what I buy when I want to without taking things out of my shopping cart and puting them back in. As far as the search I guess I'm just used to it. The new shipping policy sucks now with MS. I always require a signature upon delivery. If I'm not there or a niebor to to sign I would drive down to the UPS hub to get my package. As of recently I can't go down to get my packages any more. I either have them left on my porch, make sure I'm home to sign for it or have it held at the UPS hub for me.

It wasn't too long ago that people were griping about how slow Midway is. You should put your items in a wish list or just make the purchase. I buy from Midway, Midsouth, Natchez ,and at least once with Graff & Sons. I am not always crazy about there websites, but if I can get the product that I want at a good price, I deal with it.

Many of you mentioned using the "Wish List" to store things in that aren't to be purchased at this log-in. That's what Midsouth told me........ but they also told me that they've had multiple complains about how the "cart" items are missing when they log in the next day. MS found out that many orders were lost due to this glitch. MS thanked me for calling and talking about the problem. Many just go elsewhere.
Some THR'rs got a tad nasty in their responses and thought it was a petty gripe. MS didn't see it that way and their response that I posted verbatum proves that.
To those who actually had helpful replys - "Thank You" I'm using the wish list AND an email to myself (as suggested) until this fall when MS will have their new & improved ordering/search/cart software up & running.

Minn, I must be at least as old as you are!!
How do you tell time without a watch?
I don't carry a cell phone, pocket watch, Ipad, Ipod, Eyepatch  or laptop with me (unless I'm prairie dog shooting at ultra long range - Ballistic data) so I just ask "What time is it?" and someone always answers. I know - old school.

Midway has a VERY nice website. Very easy to use, easy to find stuff. I too wish MSSS & Natchezss.com would upgrade.

Gee I thought a forum was where people go to post their opinion. Condescending tones will kill a forum faster than Popeye can down a can of spinach.

Beside how will MSSS know if people don't "whine".
