Really liking that 1895-1917 pairing. What is the 1895 chambered in?

That one left the factory as a 30 Government but I had it reworked to handle the 405 WCF. However, since lions and tigers do not roam freely in my part of Ohio, I load it as if it were the 40/72 which is one of the cartridges the rifle was initially offered.

The 1917 is cut for the 45 ACP of course.

I don't have any couple's pictures, maybe I'll try to snap some this weekend. But my picture skills are grossly lacking.

Beretta CX4 Storm in 9, and Beretta 92
Beretta CX4 Storm in 40, and Beretta 96
PS90 and FN Five Seven
Rossi 92 in 45 Colt and Ruger BH
Rossi 92 in 357 Mag and one of my 357 revolvers (one day I'll pick up a BH)
Marlin 94 in 44 Mag and Desert Eagle (the only 44 handgun I own)
Just Right Carbine in 40 S&W / 9MM with one of the Glocks
A few 22 LR rifles and handguns to choose from for other pairings
And, I guess the SW45 (MP5 clone in 45 ACP) and one of the 1911s

I have no common chambering in rifle and handgun.
Used to handgun hunt small game, varmints and deer.
Got tired of lugging an extra.
Just rifle hunt now.
Arthritis had me get rid of my .44 mags.
And my current hunting spot not good enough to play the handgun game (have and been successful- but things have changed............bud and I have not fired an arrow or bullet all season).
Its tough w a rifle, no need for extra handicap w handgun.

Fighting back issues, concealed, even OWB carry, is annoying. Just driving my SUV on the road, making turns, is aggravating.
Don't get me started about the new "roundabouts" LOL

My one hunting buddy wants a companion revolver for each deer rifle............good for him.
I won't, and can't do that.........physically.

So back on the first page I posted my pistol/carbine that share a cartridge (44 Mag) but here is the pistol/carbine(technically an AR-pistol) combination I carry more than just about any other pair of guns I own but they do not share a cartridge 38 Special and 300 BO.
