Sig Mosquito

I have one and it cycles cheap ammo fine until it gets dirty, usually about eighty rounds. The gun's purpose is to serve as a training weapon for a full size Sig. Same controls and field strip routine. It was never intended to operate smoothly like a Ruger.

One example is the sights. They are horrible. Another is the double action trigger pull. It is also horrible. A Mark II is in a whole different class. If you want a 22 that mimics the manual of arms of a full size Sig buy the Mosquito. If you want something accurate, reliable, etc, etc. buy a Mark II.

I forgot how bad the trigger was on the last one I shot!! Felt like plastic was binding somewhere, was as bad as my long gone Keltec P11:barf:

Fun firearms. I only feed mine CCI minimags. Never had any malfuctions and I cant remember the last time I cleaned it. For me it is super accurate and fun. Apparently my experience is atypical however.

I do not like the trigger on mine. I'm used to a long Sig DA trigger pull but this one I pull the trigger, expect a bang, look at the gun to make sure the safety is off, then pull the trigger back some more and it fires. Sometimes it also ejects and feeds a fresh round, too. Quite often it stovepipes of feeds the fired round back into the chamber. It got better with the lighter recoil spring in it but still not good enough. I prefer my P22 Walther or S&W 22A.

And ONE magazine, Sig? Really?

In retrospect I wish I had not bought it but at least it's good enough.
