Sigs are better than Glocks !

I think Glocks are heinous looking but then I remembered that they have an even uglier little sister named Highpoint and I stopped puking when I saw them. But really, Glocks look like prototypes from some third-world gun factory. The name even sounds ugly. I'd trust my life to one but I would a Sig as well and they aren't repulsive looking. M&P, HK, Sig.

So lets say a Sig 226 is attractive? or a P250...

AR.....Come on now...your puking didn't have anything to do with Glocks...High
Points, maybe...And we all know they're not even remotely related... However, the remote similarity you're trying so hard to see between Glock & HighPoint, is the flattering example of how HighPoint needed to try to look like something popular, to draw some interest... (Actually, the fact that they both happen to be the same color is about the extent of their similarity, no matter how hard you look at them). But notice... they sure as heck didn't try to look like a Sig.... LOL

I can't believe this pointless thread has gone on for over 11 pages now. I didn't have the patience to read through all the flaming and bickering.

You're comparing apples to oranges here.

Hey, come on CP, it's all in good fun. Anyone taking this seriously is just a ridiculously mis-guided fanboy that needs a long look in the mirror. I love them all, an accurate and reliable handgun , even one as ugly as a Glock, has a place in my heart.

Glocks are 10x the gun. they cant be detected by metal detectors, will shoot under water, shoot with sand in them and can shoot those ice bullets. but everytime a SIG is shot, Chuck Norris randomly stomps on a puppy with his boots

"The P210 is not representative of a current SIG, and you know that. "

No? You need to read up on, and shoot, one or more of the X-5 or X-6 guns. They're made in Germany by Sig-Sauer, not in New Hampshire. They are real Sigs in other words. :)

uh oh .....someone woke up Chuck Norris. I totally forgot that Glocks are built from a unique rare polymer that Chuck Norris developed by mixing fresh rhino horns, elephant tusks, shark teeth, grizzley bear toe nails and lion semen. he is the only one in the world tuff enough to procure all of the ingredients fresh on a daily basis.

I had totally forgot about the ice bullets. thanks for reminding me. I have a glock on order now.

Not for much longer. Mr. Cohen is now in charge of the entire shooting match.

I own a sig p229, a Kahr MK9 and a CZ p-01. The 229 and p-01 shoot so well I can't tell the difference, I fondled a glock among many other guns before choosing my current guns. I didn't care for the feel so I went with the 229. Since then I have shot a feinds glock 19 and it just didn't point naturally for me. I feel like I made the right choice, but then I haven't dipped my sig, cz or kahr in sand or mud and tried to fire them either....

you wont know for sure if they are any good until you throw them out of a helicopter.

This is fun thread something like coca cola vs pepsi. I will just vote for Glock because of it's influence on the weapons industry here in the US and it is on Top 10 pistol in American Rifleman.

Its a good thread. people voicing opinions. I still may buy a glock. I dont know. its certainly possible. if I did I think I would go with a glock 17.

The latest word from Sig is that the X-5 guns will continue. The Mastershop guns will be (or are already) discontinued.

Right but for how long with they be exclusively made in Germany out of superior parts? How long will it be before they are cheapened like every other aspect of the Sig Sauer line?

Early Glock marketing had a film of them throwing a bunch of different guns (loaded yet) down an Olympic type ski jump and followed them to the bottom, where a boy was a waiting to see if they would still shot upon arrival. The Glock (but of course :) ) was the only one that didnt blow the mag and/or rounds in them out of the gun on impact, among other traumas, and it did in fact fire every last round in the mag. That, and the old vigorously scrub up and down the slide with a screwdriver blade and declare it was the screwdriver metal left on the slide, and not the finish coming off.

How long will it be before they are cheapened like every other aspect of the Sig Sauer line?
Here I fixed it for you, you forgot to add this...... :)

He ran the exact same playbook at Kimber, Sig Arms so why would he change it now that he is in charge of Sig Sauer.
