We were speaking of Wadcutters in another thread, so I thought I'd brag a bit. Not on me, no for heavens sake, but on my wife. As some of you know, she's been handicapped by ruptured brain aneurysm some years ago, and walks with either a walker or a cane. She used to shoot with me most of the time, but now she only goes once in a while. Last week was one of those days.

She only shoots one gun now. A 2020 Python that she made me buy for her. "You've got one? So? I don't!" Yes Ma'am.

HER Python...don't you forget it.

I said I was going to the range, and she said she wanted to come along, so into the range bag went HER Python, and a box of wadcutters. When we got there, I stapled up her target and ran it out to five yards, and put the revolver and ammo out on the bench. She wheeled her walker up, took a seat, and proceeded to load up. "What's wrong with these bullets?" "Nothing...they're supposed to be like that." (the LOOK) "OK...if you say so."

She started off hitting high left. Then the muscle memory must have started to kick in and she started to walk them into the sweet spot. Load five, shoot five, load five, until finally after a half box or so, she said she was tired. "Get your own target. I want to show that one off." Yes Ma'am.

HER target.

Not too bad for an old lady who hasn't shot for a while, and can bairly stand. As a matter of fact, she was just shooting sitting at the bench, on her walker. Not rested...just sitting, arms extended.

Anyway, check out those nice neat holes those wadcutters make. Berry's 148 grain, plated, double ended WC's over the usual charge of Bullseye.

Congratulations to you and your wife. Getting out to shoot is very important and will help her get better. It will be great for her confidence knowing she can do something as well as that target proves.

The Python is a great choice and matches perfectly with wadcutters. Those clean holes are easy to see and I think that helped her dial into the center.
