I've always wondered what would happen in the minds of some antis who like to rant about the new deadly menace of "assault rifles" when they find out what the "47" in AK-47 means.

PS: I would dearly love to know how they know the random bullet falling from the sky and killing a man came from an "assault rifle" if the case is unsolved. That must be a nifty trick. Me thinks the reporter has seen too much CSI.

That's one I like to point out a lot. Same with the 1911. Fundamentally gun technology hasn't changed in more than a century. If they've been around that long, and all these "assault weapon" and rampant handgun killings are just cropping up in the last decade or two, perhaps its not the technology that's the problem?
