I have a TX22 and a G44. I bought the Taurus several months ago and was pleasantly surprised how well it shoots.
I don't have many rounds through the 44 yet as I got it last weeked, but the trigger is nowhere near as good. I put a 3.5# Ghost connector and it definitely helped. Accuracy is very good, just had to dial the sights in a bit unlike the Taurus.
A word of caution: I've now seen reports of both a TX22 and 44 with cracked slides. The problem (I think) with the TX is the OEM recoil spring has a sharp edge that digs into the alloy slide which has causes some scratching, it's happened to mine.
I bought the Lakeline LLC guide rod/spring assembly which is supposed to fit better and they actually round off the spring to prevent the scratching.
Taurus actually sells this part on their own website.
