Depends on distance and situation I guess. I did once kill a large coyote @ 75 yards wth a 12 Ga 3 1/2" with '0' buckshot, but it didn't fall immediately dead like they usually do when I hit 'em with my .223 Rem.
Deadlier? So a shotgun makes things more dead than a rifle?
Wow. I'm sorry for your ordeal. So many school shootings. I seen on the news a while back the anniversary of a school shooting and all the kids that showed up for the protest were anti gun. The future of our country. One young man stood alone and spoke to the camera as an NRA member while "boo's" could be heard in the back. Just disheartening.Deadlier no. So he’s stretching.
But his point is exactly right. My classroom was shot up with a 12Ga
The only reason I’m alive is because I did resist. I didn’t cower under a desk, instead I started the gunman and a security guard was able to grab him because of it.
As far as the left what isn’t said is that the number are now calling for outlawing all guns is growing, and they aren’t hiding it anymore.

I agree with most of thisWhat you experienced in the field of education is why we homeschooled our children. Millions do. State sponsored education was originally a group effort to educate the poor, subverted to establish a continuing indoctrination for socialism.
As for the voices of the anti gunners, they aren't so much becoming more numerous in comparison to their total percentages, they are just given more voice by the media who is also part of the problem. There are now only 6 media corporations who own ALL the networks and newspapers, and one foreign owner has a controlling interest in every one. He also owned the top floors of the Mandalay.
His activities are under intense scrutiny by authorities in his country and how he spends his money inciting insurrection in the Mid East has also been stopped.
Things are actually looking up. It's going to take awhile, there is a major reset in politics looming, with an impact far beyond what some are prepared to understand or accept. Ignoring it will only do more damage, not smooth the transition.
However, as far as "shotgun vs AR15" - you have to ask, is the latest interest in Mossberg Shockwave type guns because they are "cooler" than AR pistols? Or do slug rounds over 250 gr have more power from a 14" barrel vs a 70 gr from a 10.5"?
I believe ballistics offers the answer, and when you look at the numbers, taking into account BOTH guns are not long range hunting guns but intended for close range self defense, the shotgun has it hands down. I don't think it's exaggerating to say double the foot pounds of force.
Short range shotgun ammo development is ongoing and we are likely to see some significant improvements in the near future. The next SHOT show will likely have some and it will be interesting to sort thru which are based on marketing hype and which are performers.
Great replies everyone. I didn't actually pay much thought to the 30 pellet statement, but you guys are right. I can only get abt 18 or 21 '0' Buck in my 3 1/2" loads depending on the wad and type of powder I use. I do think uncle Ted stretches it a bit, but he's all good will for the 2nd Amendment. I've only seen him in concert in the early 80's helluva good time...
Exactly, one would think he would be more knowledgeable about what he uses. I am all for a shotgun for HD, but it is what it is and he is pretty full of it. He is mostly practicing fear mongering against the shotgun at this point. "OHH look how destructive it is!"No proof, just opinion, less than adequate logic. In short, nothing but propaganda, which is sad, really.
At least the shotgun is Joe Biden approved. But only if you shoot it up in the air.
Uncle Joe said to fire them both.Well I mean, just one time. Everyone knows that the single shell left in your SxS is all a homeowner will ever need, right?
He is mostly annoying, occasionally hilarious. I have to give him credit for making a bunch of money off the lunatic fringe.it would also help if Alex Jones were calmer.
3 1/2" magnum 00 buck in 12 ga has 18 pellets, not "over 30". No matter how many times he says 30 in the video.
Even if there were 30 pellets in a 3.5" magnum 00 buck round, it wouldn't be like "30 people shooting" because all of the pellets go in more or less the same direction. In an unusual situation, it's possible that several people could be injured by a single shotgun blast but 30 people shooting would be much more deadly.
