Was in Graf's retail store this morning and what do I see? Top shelf, left cabinet........an 8# jug of Varget. Had never seen one before.......but can now attest they do exist. Since I didn't need any, grabbed what I was looking for and out the door I went.

I take it that is a good sign.

I have about 5# of Varget on hand. So i woulda left it on the shelf also. But I know People that would almost kill to get that 8# jug.

I was in 2 gun stores last week. Cabelas’ ammo selection was the best I’ve seen in 2+ years.

Then a couple days later I was in Sportsmans. There ammo (quantity and selection) was far better than Cabelas. I picked up 4 boxes of bullets I hadn’t seen in over a year. Then I went to the counter and, just for fun, I asked about primers. They had small rifle, small rifle magnum and CCI #41s. Even some bench rest primers. BUT a 2 sleeve limit. Cause I was there, I took my 2 sleeves and left

With the amount of factory ammo I saw, I’m optimistic availability will improve. With the prices of ammo I saw, I’m glad I reload. I did pay $11.99/50 for 22 rimfire. But they were CCI Stingers, about the only round that reliably functions in the wife’s Walther P22.
