General George S. Patton also carried a very nice SAA, if I'm not mistaken. It was always shined up and pretty. Guess he never used it that much.
Hmm, friend of yours? I mean, you must have known the man to know that he has no combat arms experience, right? You must have been there and watched him fumble about with a rifle to know how he handled himself. Oh you werent there? Hmm, sounds like you don't know what you're babling about to me there bill.
Your posts would suggest that you have some sort of degree in history; what are your credentials? The internet? You were a mall security guy and you read the internet after you took leave (got fired)?? You boldly attack Patton for keeping his guns clean.... ? Seeing a picture and reading wikipedia doesn't mean you know a man. IMO General Patton had gravel in his guts. More than you do, anyhow.
Do you read what youre typing before you click the post button? What is this word that you claim is yours, Truth you say? What is truth, can you define it? Your opinion has no bearing on the truth. Some of these threads are sickening, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. YOU SOUND LIKE HILARY'S CAMPAIGN MANAGER. WHY DO YOU POST YOUR OPINION AS FACT AND POINT YOUR NOSE IN THE AIR AND SAY "NUH UH" WHEN YOU ARE REFUTED??????
K got that off my chest. But seriously, you sound like a bleeding heart liberal, you really do. Besmirching a general because you saw a picture of him, claiming the Garand was a detrement to the war, seriously. Seriously seriously think about what you posted.... sounds a lot like an opinion as opposed to a generally supported fact. Fact being something that can be proved, for example: the M1 Garand fired 30-06 cartridges. That is truth. Your version of truth: The M1 Garand led to spray and pray tactics. Now, where did you learn this, did someone else post this on some other website?? While it may sound convincing, this is infact and opinion. Wether or not you think it is truth is up to you, the reality is a fact(sometimes synonymous with truth) is that it is one mans opinion that was passed on through the ages until it was planted here under the guise of truth.
This is not the first time I've seen a thread turn from "This gun or that" into "what I think is true and what you think is bull pucky" and gone on and on and on and on. Am I a part of the problem? Maybe, but probably not.
In closing: Deer Hunter, you really should put "I think" in front of every line you type, it would make a lot more sense. Don't spout your idea's with your liberal mind set and expect us to believe you.
