I am trying to get another PA63 cause I just love the darn things. I have a Kel Tec that I am trying to trade straight across for one, do yall consider that a fair trade?

EDIT: it is the P3AT,

Depends on which Kel-Tec you're putting up. A P32 or P3-AT might be close to even, but a PMR-30, Sub-2K, or PF9 should also require a few bucks back to you from the other guy.

Kel-Tec (as well as Colt, S&W, Beretta, et.al.) makes a number of firearms that have different relative values. What model Kel-Tec do you want to trade?

A used P3AT is a $200 gun. I saw one at a LGS a few weeks ago for $219 I believe so I could have gotten it for $200. The last time I looked at PA-63's they were $250 at Gander with one mag.

I was in a pawn shop today that had a P3AT for $259 but they tend to price high and will lower most any gun I have ever asked about.

It's close to fair, might have to sweeten the deal a bit - got extra ammo etc to part with?

Depends on if you find someone with a PA63 who wants a P3AT instead too, lol.

I do, I have 100 rounds I can throw in the deal as well, might even go 200 rounds of .380, Im not going to need it after I get rid of the kel tec.

The P3-AT, in good condition, and a couple of boxes of ammo would make a near-even "wholesale" trade to a private owner.

A gun store, however, won't give you near $150 for your gun, if even that, and won't be interested at all in your ammo.

Heck I will give you $250 for a good P3AT and 200 rounds of .380 ammo. As long as the ammo is brass that is.

I would trade my PA63 for a P3AT. The PA63 is absolutely miserable to work on. The gun comes apart and goes back together like a puzzle for gifted people. There are several parts that try their best to fall out unnoticed, and other parts that will shoot across the room. Getting the trigger guard back in is a feat of strength. And parts availability is another story.

Also, being a blowback, the gun gets dirty fast. And does not like cast reloads. I tried. One time, a bystander asked if I was shooting black powder. :)

I don't know that the P3AT is any better, in terms of detail strip. I haven't done more than a field strip on one. But I'd take my chances.
