Every year for a very long time, a group of us relatives (grandpas, dads, sons, nephews, etc.) and freinds take a one hour drive up in the mountains to a favorite spot. We take guns, ATV's and all the makings for a mountain breakfast.
We do a little quail hunting on the way up and a little more when we get there, but mostly just set up camp, then cook a big breakfast of game meats, eggs and pan fried toast, all out of iron skillets and a fire ring.
This is where we teach our young to shoot and hunt and just enjoy the atmosphere. Then after a short time, we race back down the mountain to get home in time for a traditional turkey dinner.
Anybody else have gun related holiday plans?
