Hmm, I carried 41 mag off and on for quite a while, carried 10mm for a while as a traveling CCW handgun, and carry .40 S&W much of the time now, including police duty carry. I am coveting a sixgun at a dealer, chambered in .38 WCF, a.k.a. 38-40, which is actually a .40. If it were not for .357, I would be a total misfit here. Edited to add: The .357 I use is magnum, presently, but when I retire I may well convert my duty .40 P229s to .357 SIG, and will start carrying .45 Colt sixguns at least of the time.

44 special, smoetimes my Walther (9mm) .380 is my car gun. (Wont miss it if its stolen. Its a $60.00 gun, but has spat out 150 rounds without 1 falure )

A Beretta .32 Tomcat because it is small enough to go anywhere in my back pocket, that's my true carry gun:p.
A S&W M&P 9c when I can:rolleyes:.
A Wilson Combat CQB when I want to show off:neener:

I prefer my Kimber Stainless Covert custom shop gun. It is a early one, pre-schwartz safety and internal extractor. Very comfortable to carry considering it is a .45 caliber gun. I use a Milt Sparks IWB holster.

I normally carry a .45 acp 5" 1911 with a wilson 8rd mag cocked and locked with 9 rounds in a bianchi 82 carrylock. 230 JHP ammo (gold dot, federal HS, XTP I'm not picky)

That said lately I've been wearing my new toy...a Beretta 92FS with 15+1 decocked safety off in a Bianchi 82 carrylock. I've replaced the hammer spring with a wolf 17# (vs. factory 20#) to lighten double action pull. I've shot this quite a bit in the brief amount of time I've owned it. It's a big gun but it's a few ounces lighter than my 1911 (though not as thin) They carry about the same though. I carry Gold Dot 124gr. +P in ANY 9mm I carry...period! I've shot a LOT of this ammo over the years it always does well.

.40 I've carried G23/22's I only carry Corbon 135gr JHP when I carry .40...which is never because I've abandoned this round preffering 9 or .45 these days. Though that corbon round in a great shooter and performer IMHO and I've shot hundreds of rounds of it as well.

.357/.38+P - I have on occasion carried these and recently added a GP100 4" back to the collection. My go to deffense round has always been Federal Classic 125gr. Hi-Shok JHP ammo. I'm going to do a little handgun hunting with some old 180gr. black Talon's this weekend (what I had) I'll be loading the Hornady 158gr XTP JHP bullets with blue dot, 2400 or unique (whichever shoots best) come next Fall.

I've kind of taken to handgun hunting this year...harvested a buck with a .460 Rowland converted 1911 the day after thanksgiving. We added a 629 classic .44 to the "company collection" here at work as well...I'll play with that some next year as well...240gr win super-X SJHP is what we usually shoot in .44's. Hornadys ammo is awsome to...but a bit hot for my taste in a .44

99% of the time I carry my 1911 with 230gr JHP...it's what I choose to trust the most fopr self deffense above all others. A hi-cap quallity 9mm with the right ammo is the alternate choice...I've carried a Glock 17/19 most often in that chambering. I trust either one letting location be my guide.

up until recently I carried a Sig230 as a pocket gun and occasionally a Sig226 when dressed appropriately. I recently picked up a S&W, now that my daughter has informed me I'm officially middle aged; I figured I could assume the role of pimpsta-thug.

No .40 S&W choice? Surprising given some of the choices.

I carry .40s and .38s.

I voted for three (.357,38,45auto). Though maybe I should have made it 4. (.380)
Normally I carry either .45acp in a 5" 1911 , or a 2 1/2" smith k-frame with .357 or .38+p . The one I didn't remember to vote for is .380acp which I do carry, but only on very rare occasions.
