When it comes to CCW most of the time it is .44SPL & occasionally .357 Mag, but every now and then I get into Semi-auto mode and carry .45Acp. In all cases a NAA Black Widow in .22 Mag rides along as a BUG. :)

In addition to the ones on the list
10mm
38 Super
44 spec
400 Corbon
41 mag

Depends on the wardrobe, weather, environment, and mood.

For a long time I carried a Colt Diamondback .38, 4". When I turned 50, my family gave me a S&W .45 acp. Its the only gun I've carried for seven years. I just need to get to the range and shoot more often.

Mark.

Don't laugh, but there are days I'll carry the KAHR P9 in a cloth Kangaroo under the shoulder, Taurus 85 Snubbie IWB and S&W 637-2 in my pocket. Very comfortable.

9x19, .38 special, .357 magnum, .45 ACP, .380 ACP.....all depends. I own more than one caliber firearm and multiple examples of some. I like DA and revolvers, so my autos are DA or DAO, square, bottom feeding revolvers. :D I even have a .22 I often carry just for backup, a little NAA in a folding grip.

It's the gun that must be concealed, it is the caliber.

Another PT145 with 10+1 in 45acp for summer.
Winter carry is that or a Witness compact all steel in 10mm w/200gr gold dot handloads at around twelve hundred fps.

I saw this and thought I would share it. It relates to what the bad guys carry and it is interesting to note that they don't seem to like 45's.

A study done in by the University of Pennsylvania showed that, in
Philadelphia,:

In 1985, of 91 homicides
44% .38 caliber revolver
19% .25 caliber pistol
14% .22 caliber revolver
14% .32 caliber revolver
3% 9 mm pistol
2% .357 caliber revolver

In 1990, of 204 homicides
23% 9 mm pistol
18% .38 caliber revolver
16% .357 caliber revolver
16% .22 caliber revolver
10% .32 caliber revolver

The top 10 guns used in crimes in the United States, according to an
unpublished Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms report:

1. Smith and Wesson .38 revolver
2. Ruger 9 mm semiautomatic
3. Lorcin Engineering .380 semiautomatic
4. Raven Arms .25 semiautomatic
5. Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun
6. Smith and Wesson 9mm semiautomatic
7. Smith and Wesson .357 revolver
8. Bryco Arms 9mm semiautomatic
9. Bryco Arms .380 semiautomatic
10. Davis Industries .380 semiautomatic

Mostly 357. Sometimes 40 S&W. Sometimes 41 or 44 mag.

I generally don't like any load under 35 caliber or under 400 ft. lbs. of energy.
