S&W 337PD. Dunno what their rules about it are. Don't care.
My rule is- always carrying. If they find out, and don't like it, I was looking for a job when I found this one.
I am a California taxpayer and I carry all the illegal aliens and those too lazy to work! Other than that I am owner Broker in real estate and when collecting rents I carry my Walther P99 9 mm. (green one to match money ).
I'm a field systems engineer for a big cable company and ISP. My job often takes me across the river into the PRNJ (barf), and aside from that CCW is against company policy, so I almost never carry on the job.
However, if I'm on call and get dispatched to one of the nastier parts of Philly, I bring my Makarov. Luckily, my boss is a libertarian gunnut and has asked me, "You're carrying, right?" on a couple of those jobs.
I guess I am kind of a wimp, Wondernine, but I work on Trident Submarines all day. Each time I try to get on a boat, I am the Topside Watch gives me the once over with a Metal Detecting Wand, and I can't afford to lose my job orr even worse, get popped by some nervous 19-year old with a Mossberg.
I work for a large bank, in an office building with no cash transactions occuring onsite. Still, I occasionally must give less-than-welcomed news to folks who understandably don't take it very well. In other words, I take abuse for a living. :banghead:
My Spyderco Endura II goes with me everywhere. I'm still debating which gun and what carry method to use on a daily basis while working. I've tried a few different things and while it's been invisible to anyone around me, I'm not 100% satisfied yet and think that I can do better. My Taurus 617 and Kel-Tec P-11 are currently tied for which gun is best. I want something bigger than .32auto or .380, so I think I'll be picking up a Makarov or CZ-83 in 9x18Mak or both soon. I'll keep fine-tuning things til I'm satisfied. Suggestions are welcomed.
Air Farce intelligence analyst, currently billeted as an instructor and overseeing contractor-produced interactive courseware development. Whoa doggies.
On base, I'm guarded by America's Finest Shooters (just ask them). Off base I guard myself with a full size 1911. I would feel a lot safer on base if I knew that even one of the base cops could shoot. Sigh.
Operations Manager for an automotive supplier company. Company rules strictly prohibit weapons at work. Boss is not a gun person, and considers knives over 2" - 3" as "potentially" a weapon. Having said that, I always have a knife of some kind on me. Usually a lockblade from a reputable company (Spyderco, Cold Steel, Kershaw to name a few) in the 2 1/2" - 3" range despite what the boss says.
Outside of work, a Kimber Compact CDP usually in a Fobus Roto-holster or a Milt Sparks #60 TK on a Sparks belt.
I'm self employed (Landscaper) and go to and through some pretty crummy parts of this area. I was an LEO (part time) for 4 years.
I used to carry my old duty weapon (Glock 19) but sold it to my father in law and want to get a 36, which I plan to do in about 2 months. Right now I carry a Kel-Tec P11 (with a belt clip and mag foot) or my Taurus PT-908, both with +P Hydra-Shoks
Business solutions consultant - I design outsourced computing infrastructures for clients desiring to outsource business processes or their entire IT enterprise. AKA professional geek.
I typically carry an HK USP .45c in a Mitch Rosen 5JR w/two additional mags and a Beretta 21A in .25 in a pocket holster. No carry at work though so the goodies are left in the vehicle locked safely away.
Prison chaplain. Due to being locked in with over 1,500 maximum-security inmates, who have morals and ethical standards that would gag a maggot, and are highly volatile and dangerous, we're not allowed to carry weapons of any kind, for fear that the inmates might take them off us. If you think this leaves us vulnerable, you're dead right!!! Off duty, I carry Glocks of one or other description, or revolvers if I'm in the mood for one that day.
All day. Boooring. But I get to read a lot.
I jump back and forth between a Beretta 9000fs and a S&W 4013tsw, but I'm looking at a S&W 66 that I might put in the rotation.
I'm kinda in vertigo7's boat...only we have cash on site. But I have the wonderful duty of dealing with people that are upset, or making them upset inthe first place.
I carry a Kimber Ultra Carry in breifcase at all times. Colt Gov't 380 in pocket.
