8.5lbs with optic and unloaded. 10 loaded with a 30 round mag.

SLR-107FR (AK-47 with poly furniture).

BSW

Unloaded it comes in at 6 lbs 12 oz (factory spec). I have just iron sights on it and the smallest possible rail (+1 or 2 oz if I guessed) for one of those surefire lights which I pop riveted into the plastic stock. Also I have a lightweight nylon USGI two point sling (1 or 2 oz I'm guessing). I honestly don't think I need optics or a bipod on it.

Having just spent the past weekend out with my deer rifle, I am reminded how much every extra oz counts. If you're young and fit it likely doesn't matter as much.

Mine's a Mosin Nagant 91/30. weighs in at about 8.8 lbs without the optics/steel PE mount and a full mag of five 7.62x54R steel core rounds. Those probably up it to 10+. The thing's a head smasher. But hey! Should for some reason that little Soviet beauty ever fail to function properly, you can always beat someone to death with it. As it is, my wife (who is barely taller than my rifle) can only just get the thing horizontal.

good to see other 762x 54r battle rifle fans.
Here is a picture of my 28# (empty) baby 47 round mag filled really packs on the pounds.
also why the username 6x6 pinz (obvious in the second photo)
