What gun or guns have you regretted selling?

All of them. I have given a few away (legally transfered of course) and never regetted that. I highly doubt I will ever sell another firearm.

When I was young and stupid I traded a Franchi Falconette 20 ga for a Dirt Bike. I still have scars from my bike years. Now old and stupid I sold a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor. The gun shot like dream and didn't care what bullet or load you ran through it. Now 3 or 4 rifles later I realize what I have done.

Quite a few of them, but then if I hadn't parted with most of them, I would never have gotten the rest.

I suppose if I had to pick one, it would be an AYA 20 Ga double I got from Sears-Roebuck about 1978 or so. Beautiful little double gun that I didn't appreciate then nearly as much then as I would now.

Got in a tight spot and sold my 1911 I had carried constantly for 10 years. The gp100 I had a while back met the same fate, though it was giving me trouble.

Traded away several marlin 1894c rifles years ago and an sks I had had a long time. I regret all those. And a Remington 760 in ‘06. A Remington 41 targetmaster. Man that would shoot.

I had a government model ace with adjustable sights I sold when I was in my early 20’s to buy a new radiator for a car that ended up burning up in an engine fire 4 months later. I still kick myself for that.

I initially felt that way after selling the 586-3 but over time it has gone to a home that it will get use and wear. That is the life I'd have liked to have given it. Now I view these as passing moments in life to not be attached to material objects.

Sold dad's Type I Carcano Japanese rifle yesterday. His Type 99 late war may be next.

The "unfired" Service Grade Special M-1 Garand which I bought from the CMP's rack in Anniston, about ten years ago. Walked in and There it Was. Total surprise.

I had never tried out the gun, due to its superb condition. Beautiful.

It supposedly was in a crate in Greece for many years - probably since the Greek Civil War.

I regret selling my 16 gauge Remington Model 11 Sportsman. Not because I wish I still had it, but I was too focused on getting an AR-10 and I used the Model 11 to defray the cost of the AR-10 that I came out about $300 behind on the deal. Suffice it to say, patience would have been a virtue since the dealer didn't offer much for the Model 11 and I would have been much better off selling it privately. Can't blame the dealer for getting the most out of me, I know I have nobody but myself to blame; Google existed when I sold it, but I was pretty green on gun sales at the time. I wasn't familiar with the forum websites and selling guns, so the trade seemed to be the best option.

Live and learn. You win some, you lose some.

In 1984 I had an HK-91 that shot half inch groups an a hundred and had a beautiful, crisp, single stage trigger that broke at FOUR POUNDS! Not much travel, either. I had no idea how on earth that happened. I sold it and have regretted it ever since.

Sometimes I think that I’d like to have back some of the maybe 75 or so guns I’ve sold or traded in my life....

Then I remember the reason I sold or traded them. Didn’t use them then. Wouldn’t use them now. I had a big safe full of rifles, shotguns, and pistols. Got tired of oiling, storing, insuring, and cleaning them

I do not ever remember selling one so I guess my answer is no :)

I have come close to selling a few, even a couple in the past 2 years, but I started to regret it LOL :)

A Remington 788 in .308 Winchester, most accurate rifle I ever owned. I even went back to the sport shop trying to trace it so I could buy it back, but couldn't:(

Had one of those. VERY accurate rifle to be sure. In a moment of young and dumb, traded it for what, I don't recall. Greatest of all the Plain Jane rifles ever.

There aren't any guns I regret selling, simply because I have sold so few. A couple Glocks when I finally decided Glocks weren't for me and a few of my many AR15s to finance other purchases.

Now ask me if there were any guns I regret not buying when I had the chance. That list if looooooooooooooong.

I've sold or traded away 15 guns over the years. I thought I regretted selling a USP 45, so I picked up an FNX 45 and was immediately reminded of why I sold the USP; a double stack .45 is just too big and chunky and the ergos didn't work for me and my size large hands. So the FNX is gone now too.

Whenever I see a SIG P938 I do have fond memories of the one I sold, but I never carried it so it just collected dust in my safe for 5 years before I decided it was time for it to go. I get a lot more enjoyment out of the 3" Taurus 942 (with cash) I traded/sold it away for. So I'm 15/15 no regrets.

I know a lot of people have the "never sell, only buy" mentality but to me there's just too many different firearms to try to do that. If I see a good price for something that even halfway interests me I'll buy it as long as I know I won't lose money if I decide to get rid of it.
